A nonprofit that provides services to homeless people in San Francisco has been accused of $100,000 fraud and nepotism.
The industry built on supposedly helping the homelessness in San Francisco means that those raking in money from donations want to keep the crisis going.

I read from Michael Shellenberger that the SF mayor would now like to crack down on this (she didn’t before), but she can’t because of the “weak mayor” system the SF has.
In a “weak mayor” system the city is ruled by idiotic committees and she would need 2/3+1 votes to fire these committees.
I guess this system could have merits in some cases, but it is certainly a pain in the ass of SF now.
So many “not for profits” are managed by corrupt, integrity-free criminals.
