I am not defending Biden.
However, my father was in the Army Air Corp under General MacArthur during WWII. He landed in Wee Wack on the northern side of New Guinea. This was an island formerly occupied by the Japanese.

He used to tell us kids stories about being on New Guinea and the Philippians during the war. He told us that there were still head hunters in the interior of the island when he was there. That at night they would post sentries not only to protect against the Japs, but the natives too.
