Gotta learn how to push back effectively. Leave the uni’s as is, make the organizers look like the anti-American twits that they are.
Mike Rowe has a wonderful episode of his YouTube show from a year or two ago with an “inner city” dance group that would disagree with this premise. You can find it on his channel, and it is very inspiring and motivational.

I try to always conclude sarcasm with ‘/s’
Real or not, a representation of the flag ought to be considered the flag. Many don’t get it ,
Just for this argument- as someone who respects the U.S. Flag April, I would have walked out of the meadowlands with $500 tickets if I were witnessing the NFL approving their football players in uniform disrespecting the National Anthem/the flag/the constitution
I would never wear a shirt like that. It’s a flag Twisted
I would have a bigger problem with the team who can’t stand the sight of the flag
People need to get in touch with the constitution, civics, rules and regs of the Flag and what tyrannical government looks like and the culture that promotes it.
I wore a flag tie with my uniform for many, many years. I only got positive comments about it (many, in fact), and never once got a negative comment.
I get it-—Would wearing a hat with a cross on it be disrespectful or would depict my respect for Christ?
I look at it the opposite way-—a picture of a flag on my shirt or hat or whatever, shows my respect for what it stands for and not the actual flag. We wear items to show our support for the meaning behind it——I have a Jesus “fish” tattoo as a reminder of the Love of Christ and nothing else. On occasion, it sparks the conversation of what Christ has done! Without Christ the tattoo is meaningless, but it’s what it stands for means everything. Without those that died and spared everything is what’s behind the flag, but without them the flag means nothing.
The bottom line, is we both are passionate about respecting the flag——though different, we believe what the flag stands for deserves the utmost respect.
I too am triggered when I see an American flag. I weep for what once was the greatest nation on the planet. I weep for the memories of being a Boy Scout and the patriotism that was instilled in us. I weep when I think how proud I was when I was selected in school to be a flag monitor and the pride I had saluting it after it was raised. I weep for the memories of my father who gave his service in the Korean War and came home debilitated for life but never regretted what he gave as a true patriot and to the day of his death loved this country and the freedom it represented.
LGBT huh? Why don’t they just go be gay in Hell?
The only thing scary is some of those chicks thighs.
Corn fed.....................
Actually they are an unstable group to be around....I don’t feel safe around either.
I’d been like, SEE YA!!!!
I do not disagree. I have a problem with (could be my perception) that many people don’t appreciate what the colors mean (to me)
The correct response is, “we are so sorry that the America flag offends you. If you feel that you cannot go on in the competition, you should feel free to withdraw to a safer space and leave the competition. Thanks so much for coming. Perhaps try again next year”
Addendum:
I’d never attempt to deny any ones right to their opinion.
Burning our flag breaches that threshold.
We left the Seattle area a year ago. I can’t walk 50 feet in my new neighborhood without seeing an American flag. I LOVE IT!
Well, if they took off their shirts, I might be triggered.
To be a leftist today, you must first have a serious mental illness called “wokeism”. It’s a very debilitating disease that can be prevented as long as the young person is not exposed to the sick demented woke Marxists that pollute the world today, especially in the western world.
Don’t let your babies grow up to be woke Marxists folks.
