“...Meanwhile, former assistant, US attorney Patrick Scruggs, who prosecuted some of the J6 protesters and gave them very stiff sentences, has been charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and armed burglary. He was out on $65,000 bail on the same day of his stabbing spree.

Eyewitnesses accuse him of breaking the window of a vehicle that hit his sedan on Interstate 275 and stabbing the driver. He also attempted to stab a couple who stopped to help the victim and then fled the scene. The stabbing victim was hospitalized for serious injuries....”

former U.S. prosecutor from Tampa who helped the federal government indict Florida residents accused of participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol is about to stand trial himself.

According to court records, Patrick Douglas Scruggs is expected at the Pinellas County Justice Center on May 3 at 8:30 a.m. for a pre-trial hearing on allegations that he stabbed a 35-year-old man with a pocket knife during a road rage incident last year.

Scrugg’s attorney stated that his client is innocent until proven guilty, and has asked the public to “keep an open mind” because his client “was part of a chaotic situation”.

You can’t make this stuff up.

It was a mostly peaceful attack, unlike those J6 grannies walking through the open door at the Capital!

Wonder what the reason was the driver of the stopped car was slumped over......medical condition? Did he fall asleep in a lengthy traffic jam? Regardless.... Mr Stab-at-random-slumped-stranger’s sure appears to be a bit of a hothead.

Wonder what the video that preceded the stabbing would show.....

I grew up in Falls Church just 6 miles from The Mall. The Capitol Building was called “The People’s House” and was open to any that wanted to walk in. When did the ownership transfer from the people to the elected?

So he probably will try to claim prosecutorial immunity.
He violated due process rights for J6 victims, why not stab a motorist.
I’d like to see him get the same justice he’s meted out.

The victim could, easily, have been murdered, had the suspect struck one of his nearby arteries with that knife!

He should have been charged with attempted murder!

In these “evil” times you had better have a firearm available, (pertinent statutes notwithstanding), lest you wind-up like this driver, or worse! Think about it!

We live among savages and the government itself is un-civil!
