Lauren Boebert Undergoes Emergency Surgery, is Diagnosed with Rare and Potentially-Life Threatening Disorder — GOP Majority in House at Risk

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) underwent emergency surgery Tuesday night to remove a blood clot and was diagnosed with a rare and potentially life-threatening disorder, potentially imperiling the GOP’s House majority.

Her hospitalization comes as she vies for the GOP nomination in Colorado’s 4th District seat in the November general election. She is running to replace RINO congressman Ken Buck, who resigned from Congress last month.

Boebert announced in December she would drop Colorado’s Third Congressional District to run in the Fourth.

Boebert’s campaign issued a statement in a Facebook post revealing the 37-year-old GOP congresswoman was admitted to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland after experiencing swelling in her upper left leg. The doctors subsequently diagnosed Boebert with a condition known as May-Thurner syndrome, which interferes with a person’s blood flow.

It’s always something with this one!
Nonetheless, I hope she has a smooth and easy recovery.

This very treatable and can be corrected by surgery. If blood clots develop then it can be fatal. But if corrective measures are taken before that then all should be good.

"Wish her well in her recovery - but she needs to go take care of her family instead of seeking power in Washington."

I really enjoy getting the advice of RINOs. I despise the leftiy creeps and many of the Bush era Freepers really align with the leftists plaguing our country.

I have a large DVT that they say can’t be removed. I guess it could break apart and pieces go strolling to my heart, brain, etc. So Eliquis “life-time”.

Sorry to hear that. Don’t the blood thinners slowly dissolve the DVT?

More on M-T-syndrome:

Iliac vein compression is common, occurring in about 1 in 5 people. However, many people with iliac vein compression don’t have a formal diagnosis of May-Thurner syndrome. This may be partly because most people don’t have symptoms of May-Thurner syndrome unless they develop DVT.

Not that uncommon. According to Boebert's campaign a stent was put in place after the clot had been removed. That ought to take care of the problem, as long as the diagnosis is correct.

Blood “thinners” don’t dissolve anything. They keep blood from clotting and thus adding to the clot. Gradually, most will dissolve with this help. But it is not because of the med, only indirectly helps.

It’s a condition of compression of one piece of anatomy on another. I don’t think vaccine of any kind will affect that.

Never underestimate the power of the omnipotent vaccine.
