They did drop the anchor. You aren’t going to stop a 1000 foot 100,000 ton ship going 7 knots with an anchor.

Some reporters make total a***** of themselves. Heard one say....that this disaster will be good for the economy when they start building the new bridge...as it will provide jobs...

They reduced speed from 7-8 knots to 1.5 knots by the time of the collision.

The timing and circumstances of this disaster are strange and the accident chain would have had to have been pretty unbelievable for this to play out the way it did.

A serious investigation is warranted.
