Does anyone still watch this TV series or the various spinoffs it spawned?
I watched for some number of seasons and then quit because the plot got repetitive. They find a safe space they can defend but then have to go on the run again. Blah.
Ahhh ... NO
I lost interest after they tried combining WD with FWTD and then wrote Rick out of the series.
“In Sci-Fi TV and movies, for some reason, when the system breaks down and it is back to a dog eat dog, might makes right, fight for everything you get, only the strong survive, world, women takeover.”
It’s because Hollywood, either following or leading our Department of Defense, is full of crap.

I compare Walking Dead with the democrats’ Covid pandemic. It completely changed the world and filled it with a bunch of worthless, ukulele playing, toilet paper zombies who take over the U.S. Government and molest little kids.
I quit after they whacked Glen and Abraham.
It would be leading since Hollywood has been doing that for many decades.
Never originally watched it.
“”””This show lost me when it insisted that so many woke types would survive a zombie apocalypse.””””
Exactly, the woke survive, thrive, and even run things.
“History is a staircase on which men in hobnail boots ascending pass men in velvet slippers descending.”
The Ones That Live, featuring the return of Rick Grimes, is outstanding, the only spinoff really worthy of the Walking Dead series.
Nope, had to stop when they went DEI. I finally just took the tv off the wall.
“It would be leading since Hollywood has been doing that for many decades.”
So has the DOD, to the great detriment of America. But I suspect you are right. The feminist chicken of Hollywood came slightly before the DOD egg of idiotic wokeness.
Amen.
Two to the chest, head gets the rest. ๐ณ๐
I’m really enjoying TheOnes That Live. I couldn’t get into the other, earlier spin-offs, but I might go back and watch the Darryl Dixon one.

Saw a few episodes and never liked it. Never liked anything that exploits interest in anything occult. I cannot fathom the morality of the mind that wants to invent such stories. The fascination with it is, in my own belief, a real problem.
Gradually though, plot lines and then spinoffs followed a few of the main surviving characters and their wide-ranging and increasingly separate experiences. The result is that the show often now explores political and philosophical issues as humanity tries to form and maintain larger organizations and groups in a ruined world.
This results in contests between corrupt authoritarian power and the individual. The enemy is now less the walking dead and more often other survivors who are frequently up to no good.
Well, the guy in the castle was fighting French people. Perfectly logical.
Itโs not occult. Itโs an unknown biological cause.
