Major fabric and craft retailer Joann announced it is filing for bankruptcy as Americans suffer the consequences of “Bidenomics” and pull back on “creature comforts” spending.
According to a recent announcement from Joann, the retailer reached an agreement with most of its financial stakeholders, giving it around $132 million in new financing while reducing its debt by around $505 million.

If the economy gets any greater, we’re all gonna be unemployed.......................
My spouse goes there for craft projects, but less and less. Joann’s Fabrics or whatever it is called began to put pro-homosexual “craft” projects and propaganda in our local store.
We cut back on our visits, went to other stores.
Thanks for posting. I was not aware of their agenda. $ power.
Hobby Lobby is the way to go 😀
For a long time now, Joann’s has been ridiculously overpriced on everything.
An item (say a flower pot) that is $12.99 at Joann’s is $1.89 everywhere else on earth
I dread going to Hobby Lobby. They always have plenty of checkouts open, but it takes forever to check out because of the number of items a lot of people get, and the configuration of the merchandise, I.e. things that are bulky, odd shaped, or need to be wrapped. It seems invariably I’m behind the lady with 37 different bouquets of silk flowers
So true of Hobby Lobby! I dread going there b/c of their check-out system. I have all of my framing done there - but getting through the check-out line is often 20-30 minutes or more. Check-out system is FAR faster at Joann’s and Michael’s.
I will drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to Joann’s because of Hobby Lobby’s check out.
Yeah, I knew something was going on with Joann’s - the relatively new one near me has had fairly empty shelves since before Christmas - two days ago there was a sign posted outside the store that said “50-70% off everything in the store” - if that is not a clue the store is going out of business I don’t know what is.
I asked the manager and she said they definitely were not going out of business - but the signs and empty shelves said otherwise.
Biden plague is spreading faster now.
Good riddance to Joann.
Ditto what you said.
Anyone notice most fabrics come from China?
“It seems invariably I’m behind the lady with 37 different bouquets of silk flowers” LOL! One code I cracked in in maskachusetts (hat tip to NE freeper) is not to get in any line with a masked person in it...it’s a tell as to how much of a pita they are going to be - even for just a few items.
When i was a kid back in the late 70’s i would walk by an old textile mill here in MA that had been taken over by Joann Fabrics.
Apparently they made their own fabric back at the time.
Place was old, probably used the brook it was built next to for power back in the day.
I just google earthed the place and it’s now a med supply place.
