First off, it wasn’t his chest. It was his arm... the same arm that failed to tase him.

Second, all lives matter.

In the comments to the article (below a few ads), there is a knowledgeable answer to your question. What I gathered is this: tabernacle depends on a secure contact with the person being tased, so clothing and other factors can make a difference to effectiveness.

And in many places, police can not be holding both a gun and a taser — one or the other must be holsters.

In this scenario, had the officer tried to tase the boy and failed, the boy could easily have killed him before he got his pistol.

The problem with dealing with people who are mentally ill is that they tend to behave very erratically and in ways we would not expect. We have general ideas of how things will go, but a person with serious mental illness generally does not have that type of understanding. Unfortunately, that makes them more dangerous.

Not enough time to deploy taser. Cop was in imminent threat of death. Cop should be fired for NOT lighting up Saint Sling Blade in the hallway.

So you’re grossly ignorant of how often tasers don’t work?

Got it.

In the illustrious tradition of FR, I didn’t click on the article and read. I stand corrected..... Saint Sling Blade was loco and appeared to be at a full run toward the officer while said officer was back-peddling. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Too bad noone in his immediate family didn’t knock his fool azz out prior. Maybe get the help he needed. NVM.... the medical establishment has been corrupted as well.

Unfortunately, SSB will prolly be anointed sainthood like Mr. “I Can’t Breathe” by our worthless commie media. Feel for the cop having to shoot some cray-cray who just so happened to be black then getting further reamed by local, state, and fed. cucks. So much for law and order.
