Dollar Tree and its subsidiary, Family Dollar, will close 1,000 stores following a net loss of $1.71 billion over three months, the discount retailer said Wednesday.
The company plans to close about 600 Family Dollar stores in the first half of this year and allow about 370 Family Dollar stores and 30 Dollar Tree stores to close over the next few years at the end of their lease terms.
The company opened 641 new stores, including 333 Dollar Trees and 308 Family Dollars, last fiscal year, which ended on Feb. 3, 2024.

He is a character in the 3rd book. John Galt is a hero representing the best of modern civilization — its science, its medical research, its technological progress, and its application of intellect in service to human life. He embodies the novel’s essential theme: Only by means of the mind can human beings achieve prosperity on earth.

Well played!
Where is John Galt when you really need him?
BTTT!!!
I’m confused by all these “Dollar” stores. Is Dollar General the best / strongest one?
I rarely go to Dollar Tree. There are three of them within 5 miles. They do have (without regularity) a couple items the Dog likes, bully bones and duck jerky. I have been trying to avoid too many carbs for the last few years, so no more Dollar Tree Golden Krust Jamaican Beef turnover / pasties. THEY ARE GOOD!
Our .99 Cent stores have pretty much everything Dollar tree does plus a very good fresh produce section which Dollar tree does not, at least in my neck of the woods.

Deep State hates competition.
Not if their employees have anything to do either it. Recent case in point from Wisconsin...

Yesterday I found the smaller ones available (in multiple colors) at Five Below, ironically priced at $8.
They have some odd issues. The connection is stable right now, but I plan to test a walk to the other side of the house in a minute.
They're tiny, so there's a small struggle getting them out of the charge case. Sound is okay.
I just started to listen to an old favorite so I don't know what the battery life is. The box said 4-5 hours, with two charge capacity for the case.
[a few minutes later] Okay, no connection break or lapse during my walk to the back of the house. Stuttered when I stuck my head outdoors. And btw, brr, cold out. The right earpiece seems to have more dropouts, could be a battery life issue. Okay, it just cut out for five seconds, came back on when I jiggled my head.
I'd say, get the $5 one from Dollar Tree.
