Trump Makes a Statement on COVID Vaccines, Brags About Nine Month Approval Time

Trump released the following statement on Truth Social, responding to Joe Biden’s State of the Union: "“The Pandemic no longer controls our lives. The Vaccines that saved us from COVID are now being used to help beat Cancer – Turning setback into comeback!” YOU’RE WELCOME, JOE, NINE MONTH APPROVAL TIME VS. 12 YEARS THAT IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN YOU!"

In the TruthSocial post above, Trump mentioned his nine-month approval time for Covid vaccines.

I am frankly shocked by the stupidity of both statements.

The vaccines did not “save us from the pandemic” - they made the pandemic worse. And being proud that such vaccines were pushed through in just nine months is perhaps a bit misguided.

My employer has an installation in Tulsa, and I have a niece in Birmingham, so there is always hope. But I am getting old, so I wouldn’t bet on it. I never set out to visit 48 states, it just happened from vacations and business travel.

Who was the last president responsible for a clear democide? The Biden admin has picked up where he left off, but he initiated it all.

No, I have a very low opinion of you and other Freepers. You disgust me. You know everything better than Trump, yet you have no success that compares or competes with Trump's.

How have you improved the lives of the lower and middle classes? You did nothing for them. Your claim to fame is to pooh-pooh Trump.

I miss cheap gas, food and low interest rates. I miss low inflation. I miss a secure border. I miss no wars. I miss taking on China. I miss making Iran poor. I miss having stopped Putin in his tracks(500,000 Ukrainians are now dead due to Biden's energy and foreign policies). I miss a sane economic policy. I miss a sane foreign policy.

Biden et al. thank you for your shortsighted posts.

It’s not as bad as the Stalin vs Hitler choice was. And giving Obama a 4th term would mean the end of the USA. So we all need to grit our teeth and vote for Trump. At least that will mean pardons for the Jan 6th political prisoners. But I would certainly rather be voting for DeSantis.

"I was personally at the younger end of the elderly spectrum (62) but had a lot of health issues..."

I'm 76 now, and have underlying health issues like Type II diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, undifferentiated connective tissue disorder, overactive para-thyroid, GERD, hiatal hernia. I've had most those issues for 30+ years, treated them according to my doctor's orders, and none have gotten worse over all those years. I've never smoked, although everyone else in my family did. Three died of lung cancer, one of a heart attack, and the last from a stroke. I've lived longer than any of them. Only one made it to 73. My only brother died at 51. I never had the flu, or pneumonia, and up until Covid, only got the yearly flu shot. I've chosen not to get any flu shots again, because you can't trust what they are giving you. Personally, I didn't see Covid as a threat to me, despite having long-term health issues. I figured when my time is up, it's up.

By the way, I tested positive for Covid twice within 6 months, prior to having medical procedures done, and had no symptoms whatsoever either time. The second time I tested positive, I'd gone to the dentist for a cleaning the day before, and despite my temperature being normal, I tested positive for Covid the next day. The test was mandatory prior to cataract surgery.

But still Trump owes MAGA a mea culpa on this...

"What I fault Trump on is his continuing to embrace it as a shining moment of his administration. It wasn’t!"

You make it sound like he hasn't talked about any of his other achievements in the same light. He has. But like I previously said, since I chose not to get the shots, I won't hold it against Trump, because he never told me I had to get them, and supported those who chose not to. Hold it against him if you choose. It's not going to stop me or others voting for him a third time. What you should be more worried about, and focused on is knowing that RATS are going to try to steal this election too, while still trying to destroy him in the courts.

I don’t remember Trump making it mandatory in the military. Maybe he did I’ll take your word for it. If he did another mistake.

I don’t hold his bad decision against him in the sense of a grudge. We all make bad decisions. It annoys me he can’t see he was conned and such egoism threatens his reelection.

And why not? He knows his devoted followers will come around to agreeing with him (or they’ll just blame Ron DeSantis).

You should just come out and campaign for biden, then, instead of pretending to claim you’ll still vote for Trump, while you continue to attack and kill support for Trump.

Ron DeSantis is an excellent governor, no doubt about that, but he never had a coherent message and never got his campaign on track. If DeSantis was the front runner he’d have my vote all the way, but now is not his time. And honestly, the country needs more governors like him, Burgum, Noem and Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Anyone’s better than Biden, but I have absolutely no faith in Trump either. When he says he’s going to have mass deportations, and tells us how wonderful the vaccines are, he is illustrating to us just how stupid he believes we all are. I for one am not stupid enough to believe his bullsh#t. I plan to vote for him though since its the only alternative. I doubt that it will make much difference though.

Rest assured, there’s millions of us who feel this way. Trump sure loves him some Pfizer, and will be itching to roll out some new abomination if he gets back in office. He knows his supporters will make every excuse needed for him, which makes it a dangerous situation. Not sure what other options we have though, as Kennedy has no chance, they won’t even say his name on any news show. Buckle up, is about it.

I was hoping someone other than Trump would win the nomination. Now...he’s vastly better than the Democrat. ANY Democrat. But I had issues with his Admin that exploded when the COVID Fear Porn hit.

MRNA is 20 years old...making a vaccine to fight a particular monster was what was new.
———-
MRNA is old, our DOD scientists experimented with it for almost two decades…..they halted all “ experiments “ when they found out how dangerous they were.

"It annoys me he can’t see he was conned and such egoism threatens his reelection."

I doubt it will threaten his re-election, because most Conservatives aren't one-subject voters. The invasion on the southern border is more of a threat to the majority of Republican voters, than Trump's encouragement to develop a Covid shot.
