They had no right to take that child. He was under medical care by the families doctor. An alternate antibiotic with fewer known side effects could have been prescribed. Of course the medical records are private but this is not a mother who neglects medical care for her son. No mention of a low grade consistent fever or any other abnormal vital signs. CPS was just showing their ass.

I don't have M.S. brain but I grew up in Louisiana and claim a lifetime handicap in all matters of spelling, pronunciation and grammar.

We just don't know.

• What evidence the doctor/hospital collected.
• What discussions were had with the mother about alternatives.
• What prompted either the doctor or the hospital to call CPS. CPS doesn't just show up every time you take a child to the hospital. This woman said or did something that caused concern.

I'm siding with CPS on this one unless and until we get more information.

Okay gets more complicated. Child was being treated, family physician did provide an alterative medicine. CPS claims there was a court order. Child is malnourished but is being treated for that. Not mothers fault.

I bet hospital procedure is that if someone takes a child from the hospital against doctor's warnings, they call CPS.
