There was a running tally of how many were build and how many shot down - last year I think. I seem to have the number 20 remaining in my head - Beau might know.

Russians report that they lost another Ka-52. Commander is dead, copilot in hospital. There is no disclosure of the circumstances of the loss, but the lacking report of Ukrainian sources claiming the downing of a chopper let me assume that it was a non-combat loss.

The increased non-combat losses of Russian aerial vehicles, especially helicopters, is reminiscent to non-combat losses of armies in previous wars, where an increased lack of spare parts, production issues but also decreased training and flight time start taking a heavier toll on pilots and their gear, slowly exceeding actual combat losses.
