A 24-year-old pregnant woman died during an evacuation from Sudzha. Her husband reported that their vehicle was shot at by a Ukrainian soldier.
The deceased was Nina Kuznetsova. Yesterday, she was attempting to leave Sudzha with her mother, husband Artem, and child. Artem was driving ahead (his car is shown in the video), while Nina, her mother, and their son were in the vehicle behind. As they approached the Kurilovka-Goncharovka highway, shots were fired from the bushes. According to Artem, he saw the soldier, his helmet, blue tape, and the barrel of a rifle.
"He was shooting from the front, at close range, as we were approaching him. The fire was directed at me. He riddled my car with bullets, but none hit me. Then he opened fire on her vehicle—she lost consciousness and crashed into my car. Nina's mother moved her and their son into my car, and we rushed to the hospital. Nina died there," Artem Kuznetsov told the news outlet Baza.
Nina was two months pregnant. Artem said they did not know the baby's gender but hoped for a girl. Their two-year-old son was also injured in the shooting and is currently in the hospital, but his life is not in danger.
According to the latest information, three civilians were killed and at least 28 people were injured during the Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region.

A huge problem is the transfer of fighters with rare specialties to motorized rifle-attack aircraft.
They repulsed the grenade launcher, whom the stupid command tried to transfer to assault. I will not mince words, all my statements are justified and there is confirmation of this, including from prosecutors. Many thanks to the Prosecutor’s Offices ( general, military, garrison ) for helping to fully protect the rights of Russian military personnel, which cannot be said about the State Duma Committee on Defense.
Due to the fact that, apparently, in some sectors of the front there is a shortage of fighters in assault units, it is not uncommon for the command to remove narrow specialists from their positions and send them to the assault.
Without preliminary training and, often, without the necessary physical qualities, such military personnel, as a rule, quickly die in offensive operations. At the same time, finding a replacement for them at their previous duty station is also problematic - they need people trained in specific specialties and with experience.
We consider this a mediocre and irresponsible waste of personnel.
We receive letters with tragic stories about talented, UAV operators, RPGs, and tank crews who were transferred to attack aircraft one day and died on their first mission. And the problem is not that they did not complete the assault mission, but that due to this practice, the number of fighters with specialties is reduced, and it takes time to train a new tanker or drone operator.
At the same time, it is obvious that there is also no oversupply of military personnel with such military equipment.
There are more egregious cases. So, we had to deal with a situation where an anesthesiologist was sent to the front line, where he was setting up trenches. Although you don’t have to be a doctor to understand that he will bring much more benefit in a military field hospital.
Yes, some such situations can be resolved.
We recently received a decision ( thanks to the military prosecutor’s office ) in favor of a grenade launcher who was transferred to attack aircraft. The decision to transfer was canceled, the guy will serve in his specialty. But it is simply impossible to submit requests for every such case.
And they are resolved, as usual, in at least thirty days. During this time, a fighter can die 300 times without waiting for his homeland to recognize him as a valuable specialist.
