The United States on Monday announced a new military aid package for Ukraine valued at around $1.7 billion that features air defense munitions and artillery rounds that Kyiv’s forces say they desperately need.
The package includes $200 million in equipment that will be drawn from existing US military stocks, and about $1.5 billion that will be ordered from the defense industry, the US Defense Department said in a statement.
Approaching 90% of the troops that Russia had at the start of this invasion (Feb 2022), now being out of the fight (killed or wounded).
Russian regular troops are not rotated out of Ukraine, once they are sent in. The only way out, is dead, wounded or captured. Most of those that started the invasion, have now taken those ways out.
Combat effectiveness predictably, has declined along with their experienced (trained) soldiers. Now, even with 10 to 1 superiority in numbers, their assaults routinely fail, day after day. 400 Ukrainians fought off an entire Russian Airborne Division for months in Krynky.
The leaders that grew up under Putin were promoted on the basis of being in on the graft. The remaining survivors seem unable to conduct any large scale Operations - just Platoon after Platoon thrown at the lines in broad daylight, and slowly demolishing nearly all of the standing structures.
