Kyiv Independent reports today on recent Russian casualty rates - highest of the war, so far:
“Russian losses in Ukraine reached “conflict highs” during May and June, the U.K. Defense Ministry reported on July 12.
In an intelligence report on X, the ministry said average daily Russian casualties – both killed and wounded – reached 1,262 and 1,163 in the two months, respectively.
“In total, Russia likely lost in excess of 70,000 personnel over the past two months,” the statement read.”
Looks like we're reading the same reports. 😂
I highly suspect the increase in Russian casualties since April is largely the result of increased supplies of American & NATO military aid.
Those Russian casualty numbers are almost unimaginable, except when compared to the World Wars.
So, it's anyone's guess how long they can keep that up -- but mine is, at least as long as the Afghan War, or until Vlad the Invader leaves this life = ~10 years.
And if Russians lose, the result will be collapse of the current Russian Empire and rebirth of a country possibly friendlier to Western Democratic interests.
