Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

[ Russians Try to Outflank Key Stronghold ]

Today [ Oct 30 ], there are a lot of updates from the Toretsk direction.

Here, the Russians intensified their attacks in the southern part of the city in an attempt to cut off the Ukrainian forces from the ones in the central high-rise district. However, the Russian assault units broke up and bogged down, setting the stage for a powerful Ukrainian counterattack.

The Zabalka district in southern Toretsk holds significant tactical value for the ongoing battle in the city. This district includes a key avenue that stretches toward Russian-held central high-rises, which could serve as an essential secondary logistics route. If secured, this route would allow the Russians to double their troop deployments to the central high-rises, enhancing resupply and reinforcement capabilities for continued operations to seize Toretsk.

Additionally, Russian control of Zabalka would help prevent Ukrainian counterattacks from severing their forces in the city center, solidifying their hold and bolstering the overall offensive.

Earlier, Russian forces achieved minor gains in the northern part of the Zabalka district, motivating them to push forward with further assaults to secure control. To expedite their advance, Russian command deployed a sabotage and reconnaissance group deeper into the Ukrainian-held areas of Zabalka. The Russian fighters encountered minimal resistance, with Ukrainian forces dispersed through much of the district, resulting in a relatively quick advance behind the lines.

The Russian reconnaissance groups concluded that the lack of substantial Ukrainian positions in Zabalka would allow for an efficient Russian assault. However, Ukrainian forces had established their primary defensive positions on the terrikons west of the district and at the nearby coal mine complex.

These terrikons serve as strategic observation points, enabling Ukrainian troops to monitor Russian movements and relay coordinates to artillery and drone units. From these elevated vantage points, along with fortified positions in the coal mine’s high-rise buildings, the Ukrainians effectively control Zabalka without needing to station ground forces directly within the district.

This setup allowed the Ukrainians to detect and eliminate Russian reconnaissance units that ventured deep into Zabalka. Targeted drone and artillery strikes significantly weakened and disrupted the Russian units, bogging them down and preventing them from relaying information to the main Russian forces.

These reconnaissance units, operating in small groups rather than as fully equipped assault teams, were intended to infiltrate, create pressure points, and distract Ukrainian forces, paving the way for the main Russian assault. However, the disrupted Russian units failed to establish the conditions needed for a larger offensive, effectively trapping themselves within the area.

This situation allowed Ukrainian stormtroopers, supported by M113 armored vehicles, to advance into the gray zone occupied by disorganized Russian reconnaissance units. The combination of fire support from the armored vehicles and the effectiveness of the Ukrainian assault teams, left the previously shelled and casualty-sensitive Russian units with no chance to regroup. Consequently, most of the Russian forces in Zabalka were decimated, leading them to abandon their operation and withdraw from the area.

Overall, the Russians tried to mount an advance in the southern part of Toretsk. However, reconnaissance units got bogged down and never provided intel for the main attack, which led to their destruction by a powerful Ukrainian counterattack.

As the Ukrainian counterattack gained momentum, the Russian Air Force was ordered to bombard the Ukrainian positions in the district, as seen in combat footage. This was done in a desperate attempt to disperse and halt the Ukrainian advance, in fear that they might uppercut the Russian forces in the central part of the city, which is very likely the next phase of the Ukrainian counterattack operations.

Poor Jon Ralston, only 3 days of early voting left...

“Updated, 10 PM, 10/29/24

Late evening update, blog mates.

Bottom line: Still not enough Clark mail ballots to offset GOP in-person votes and rural tidal wave.

GOP statewide lead now: 42,800, or 5.6 percent

Clark GOP in-person win was lowest so far, only 9 points. But only 9,000 Clark mail ballots counted, which helped Dems gain 2,200, more than offset by Clark in-person. There are more Clark in-person votes (274,000) than Clark mail ballots (260,000). It seems impossible that will last. And those rural margins!

Pretty soon the ghost of Harry Reid is going to start haunting post offices...

I’ll do a more detailed post in the AM, but we are closing in on 60 percent of the vote being in (774,000) — and maybe already there. If the Dems are not doing well with the 200,000 indies who have voted (and they keep gaining in vote share) and the 200,000 more likley to vote, and if the low volume of Clark ballots does not change in the next week (it seemingly has to because it is only 57 percent of the 2020 overall total), the Dems will lose Nevada for the first time in 20 years.

Is it time for Dems to panic? No, no. Still time.

I’ll tell you when.”

“Sanctioned LNG Tankers Cluster Near Russia With Buyers Scarce”

“Tankers carrying sanctioned liquefied natural gas from Russia are gathering off the country’s far eastern coast, a sign of the difficulties in finding buyers in the midst of ever-tightening western restrictions.

The vessels — Nova Energy, Pioneer and Asya Energy — all loaded shipments from the Arctic LNG 2 facility in northern Russia, which has been targeted by US sanctions. Pioneer is now anchored off the port of Nakhodka, with the two other ships also nearby, ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg show.

The ships’ journeys highlight the complications in trading gas from Arctic LNG 2, which began exporting fuel in August. None of the shipments have arrived at overseas ports. Any inability to sell the gas would be a blow to President Vladimir Putin’s plans to use the Arctic to help expand the country’s trade potential.

Earlier this month, the plant stopped liquefying natural gas, as western bans limited its ability to ship and sell cargoes. The Arctic LNG 2 shipments had been offered to buyers in China and Asian nations at a discount, Bloomberg reported last month.

All three of the ships — controlled via entities with opaque management and believed to be part of a so-called shadow fleet — are under US sanctions. The restrictions have also left the project without new specialized ice-class vessels.

Arctic LNG 2 and Novatek PJSC, the venture’s majority shareholder, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Zvezda shipyard won’t be able to deliver the domestically-built lead ice-class tanker for Arctic LNG 2 by the end of this year, Russia’s Kommersant daily reported Wednesday. Delivery is now expected in early 2025, with another tanker in the first quarter of the year, the paper said.”

Why can’t we liberate the DPR this year?

The statement by deputy Alexey Zhuravlev [ https://t.me/ejdailyru/276780 ] that we will liberate the entire territory of the DPR “not this year” excited many of our subscribers. Some people ask, where does such pessimism come from? After all, our army is achieving brilliant successes in Donbass [ https://t.me/rian_ru/266872 ]. Others say: it’s clear that we won’t make it before the New Year. But what does the wording “not this year” mean? And when?

We talked with sources in the Ministry of Defense and are answering these questions.

Firstly, our army is moving forward heroically.

Achieving amazing success. But those who shout that the enemy is defeated, that the front of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has collapsed, are engaged in disinformation and devalue the exploits of our guys. “Nothing has collapsed for them yet. And it won’t collapse soon. There is a lot of work ahead,” said one of our interlocutors.

According to another, “those who shout about the imminent defeat of the enemy give the people the impression that the NWO will soon end. And this is wrong. All of Russia must finally understand that this war will last for a long time. And that we are fighting for our survival.”

Secondly, advancement in the DPR is accompanied by serious losses.

We won’t give numbers, but believe me, many have died and been injured in just the last few weeks. Plus personnel fatigue. The military is looking for new ways to replenish the army [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4832 ], but it is not yet clear how this problem will be solved. At the same time, many fighters are unhappy - while they are shedding blood, the men in the rear continue to enjoy life. And this problem will have to be solved - not only for the liberation of the DPR, but also so that the mood in the army does not spoil.

Thirdly, we wrote [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4827 ] that Vladimir Putin set the task: to liberate the entire DPR by March 1 next year.

Among our sources, just over 40% believe in the feasibility of carrying out the President’s order.

“I think that we should finish with Donbass, completely liberate it next year. But I don’t see any guarantees yet,” said an interlocutor surrounded by Andrei Belousov.

He fears that the West will again increase military assistance to the Kyiv regime. “And then a variety of options are possible. I won’t talk about some of them. I believe that they will not be implemented,” the military man added.

“The dates are already known.” When can the sale of alcohol be banned in Russia? And why is this being done?

A decision on an almost complete ban on the sale of alcohol throughout Russia (including in all stores) may be made in the second half of 2025. It will most likely become part of a campaign to increase the country’s birth rate [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4677 ].

We were told about this by sources in the Kremlin and the government, who are overseeing the beginning anti-alcohol campaign. According to one of them, first (in March next year) restrictions [ https://t.me/filimonov_official/11735 ] will be introduced on the retail sale of alcohol in the Vologda region - up to 2 hours a day on weekdays.

Then a complete ban on the sale of alcohol will be introduced in the region - first in stores, then in catering establishments. In a month or two, the experiment will be extended to several more regions. And on its basis, taking into account all possible problems, a decision will be made on a “prohibition” for the entire country.

“It’s no secret how alcohol affects the reproductive function of the male body. Women too, but I would like to draw attention to men. In our fight for fertility, the main attention is paid to the weaker sex - they will have to give birth to three children, and contraception will be limited [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4729 ]. It’s not fair. Men should try too. So guys, stop drinking! You are given enough time for this,” one of our sources noted.

Another responded with a smile to Dmitry Peskov’s words [ https://t.me/bbbreaking/192894 ] that there are no discussions about limiting the sale of alcohol. “Of course not. This is practically a decision, what is there to discuss?

“And the approximate dates for an almost complete ban on alcohol ( it will be difficult to introduce a complete ban, but buying alcohol in Russia should become a huge problem ) are already known - somewhere in August-October next year. So that most of the country will celebrate the New Year sober. And, I hope, in a great mood,” said the channel’s interlocutor.

Putin is preparing a letter to Trump

In anticipation of the US elections, the Kremlin is increasingly convinced that Donald Trump will win there [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4833 ].

In this regard, Vladimir Putin, in addition to the official protocol letter, is preparing another one. The President plans to send it next week, as soon as the voting takes place ( before the results are announced ).

No one knows what exactly will be in the letter. But, obviously, it will reflect the Kremlin’s real position on the negotiations and our vision of the future. Let us remind you that not everyone in Moscow likes Trump’s proposals regarding freezing the conflict and ending the Northern Military District.

“Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Already a Leader in Satellites, Gets Into the Spy Game”

“The breakthrough came last month, about 600 miles above Earth.

For the first time, the Pentagon’s Space Development Agency used lasers transmitting data at light speed to communicate between military satellites on a secure network, making it easier to track enemy missiles and if necessary shoot them down.

It was a milestone not only for the Pentagon. This was a defining moment for a certain up-and-coming military contractor that had built key parts of this new system: Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

SpaceX over the last year started to move in a big way into the business of building military and spy satellites, an industry that has long been dominated by major contractors like Raytheon and Northrop Grumman as well as smaller players like York Space Systems.”

Ban abortion. Ban alcohol.

Next, RuZZia should ban Borschit. Replace it with Oysters. It boosts testosterone and can be an aphrodisiac.

Why do Rs say this crap? Its total nonsense. Ds will maintain a filibuster margin in the Senate. None of these changes will occur. Garbage, garbage, garbage.

How many times did Reagan make pledges that were totally unobtainable?

SDI was a stretch, but increasingly happening.

“House Speaker Mike Johnson told a group of supporters on Monday night that Republicans will seek “massive reform” to the Affordable Care Act if Donald Trump is reelected — previewing a major piece of the GOP’s legislative plans for next year.

During a campaign swing in Pennsylvania, the GOP speaker vowed that overhauling the 14-year-old health care law would be part of a “very aggressive” first 100-days agenda if Republicans win back control of the White House, according to a video of the event obtained by CNN. Johnson was speaking at a GOP campaign event at Trump’s volunteer headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

At one point, an attendee asked Johnson directly: “No Obamacare?” And the speaker, wearing a personalized Trump-Vance jacket, responded: “No Obamacare.””

21% base interest rate - let’s make it even stronker!

Send more sanctions! The wheels are starting to come off...

the more you sanction Ruzzia...

You asked for it, you got it. The nooses keep tightening - keep tightening.

Kyiv independent reports today:

US imposes sanctions on nearly 400 individuals, legal entities, including Putin’s relative

“The U.S. imposed sanctions on Oct. 30 against nearly 400 entities and individuals directly or indirectly involved in supporting Russia in its war against Ukraine, the U.S. State Department announced...

...The recent limitations are applied to companies involved in sanctions evasion networks in 17 jurisdictions, including China, India, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, and Turkey, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.

The U.S. Treasury Department added about 40 foreign companies to the sanctions list and expanded controls over nearly 50 other organizations to limit the illegal flow of “sensitive dual-use goods” to Russia.

The export of precursors to Russia and Belarus was also restricted in order to prevent the production of components that could be used on the battlefield.

The sanctions were imposed on a company that transported equipment for the Russian Arctic LNG 2 project and a network of shipping companies from the UAE and Singapore involved in the purchase of liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation vessels for Russia’s Novatek company.

Besides, three subsidiaries of Rosatom, the Russian state nuclear energy company, were sanctioned as well.

“The U.S. and our allies will continue to take decisive action across the globe to stop the flow of critical tools and technologies that Russia needs to wage its illegal and immoral war against Ukraine,” said Treasury Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo.

The U.S. Treasury Department also sanctioned Russian Deputy Defense Ministers Pavel Fradkov, Andrei Bulyga, Alexander Fomin, and Viktor Goremykin.

Fomin was appointed deputy defense minister in early 2017, Goremykin in July 2022, Bulyga in March 2024, and Fradkov in June, already after Andrei Belousov became the new head of Russia’s Defense Ministry.

In addition, the U.S. sanctions list includes Anna Tsivileva, the great-niece of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been under European Union sanctions since 2023.”

Another day, another 400 sanctions.

Because Putin.
