What came out of BRICS?
Nothing.
No support for Putin’s invasion. The official statement actually said that all countries should abide by the the UN Charter (which Russia violated by invading Ukraine).
No replacement of the US Dollar. No stampede to accept Russian rubles as actual money.
Just some photo ops, for propaganda purposes. I wonder how much money Russia wasted on those?

Reuters reports on Russian Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina remarks today (25 Oct):
“we allow for the possibility of an additional rate increase in December.”
“we do not include the risk of recession in our forecast for the economy as a whole.”
(On the currency) “the carry-over effect - a 10% change in the exchange rate is about 0.5 times the carry-over into inflation.” (10% drop in the ruble boosts inflation 5%)

R +3. Pickups in WV, MT, OH
Close in WI, MI, PA, NV but probably Rs fall short.
House Prediction:
Who knows? But R or D majority will be so small that majority will have to rely on minority votes to pass legislation. Same as current Congress.
Texas Prediction:
Trump wins by 6.
Cruz wins by 2 but will quit after this term.

Xi will force Putin to the table. China will getting the fat Ukrainian rebuilding contracts, not Russia.
China gets big, fat contracts to rebuild? With whose money? The US? I don’t think US MIC would allow that. More than likely they’d force whomever’s administration (and Congress) that American money be spent with American contracts, certainly not China.
But then again, there’s China connected McTurtles in Congress, so who actually knows now?
India and Turkey, too.
Watching Xi throw Putin under the bus after President Trump takes office will be a classic for the ages.

There is a multi-billion dollar European fund set aside for the rebuilding, mostly the money is from frozen Russian assets.
We are not talking billions here.
