This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Despite criticisms, many legitimate, the F-35 has been proving itself dominant in air combat exercises. It was never designed to be an air superiority fighter, but it can be dominant over virtually any 4th gen aircraft. But the real value has yet to be demonstrated, and that is in the networking that is touched on in this article. The author speaks of 4th gen fighters, but the real goal is unmanned aircraft/drones, and integration with battle management networks.

Theoretically, production secrets were handed over. If true, it’s not fueled much, if any, indigenous arms production, let alone a branching out of local variants from the Russian originals. My impression is most sales are of knockdown kits assembled in India.
But a lack of political strings, of conditions on use and resale, probably ensures India will always buy some Russian gear. Can’t be used in Kashmir, or to attack Pakistan, are non-starters for Indian decision makers.
Imagine losing access to spare parts, having your entire multi-billion dollar investment stranded, become scrap in all but name because you breached a use restriction. Indonesia had its F-16s become hangar queens because of a human rights-related parts embargo. That’s something the Indians are hoping to avoid. Their periodically restive Muslims, numbering in the hundreds of millions, are occasionally put down with methods objectionable to more delicate sensibilities.
It has been my understanding that F-35s main role was to be the vanguard of an attack. To be able to get close enoigh with its stealth characteristics to take out threats like radars and then send out targeting information to aircraft like the F-22s, F-15s, and F-18s which can stand off from greater distances and launch the ordnance they are carrying.

Will they stop sending conscripts to regions bordering Ukraine?
The Ministry of Defense is preparing a decision according to which conscripts will be prohibited from serving in regions bordering Ukraine. This incident follows a previous significant drone attack in April 2024, where over 50 drones were deployed but none reached their targets due to advanced electronic warfare systems. It appears that the Ukrainian forces have upgraded their drones to be more resistant to electronic warfare.
