Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Why did Putin offer peace to Ukraine and the West? There are 3 reasons at once, one of them is related to mobilization and demobilization

The President made a very specific and detailed peace proposal to the West and the Kiev regime. As promised, we tell you why Vladimir Putin took such an initiative. The answers from sources on this matter surprised us in some places, and in others even shocked us. But we honestly convey to you all the information we have learned.

Firstly as we wrote, Vladimir Vladimirovich made his proposal after communicating with Valery Gerasimov and Andrei Belousov.

“They said that the Northern Military District would definitely drag on ( and would last from 3 to 10 years, according to our military leaders, we talked about this - ed. ). We talked about the mood in the army. That demobilization is needed, but it is very difficult to carry out. Gerasimov generally insists on mobilization and is confident that people are needed at the front ( we will talk about this in more detail later - ed. ).

“At the same time, both Belousov and Gerasimov directly said that the mood in the army is not very good now, there are too many people who don’t want to fight. Vladimir Vladimirovich does not like this situation. And he decided to offer peace. With the hope that someone in the West will hear him,” a Kremlin source explained to us.

Secondly, the President’s initiative was influenced by the situation at the front.

“We, of course, would like to take as many territories as possible under our control. But the attack on Kharkov failed, and our progress in the DPR is so-so. Therefore, the army could use a pause. And there is also the threat of war with NATO ,” a general from Gerasimov’s close circle explained to us.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that “the army could use a break. Although, if necessary, we can fight for several years.”

Thirdly, Putin decided to use his authority to stop a series of negative events for Russia that permits shooting deep into our territory.

New sanctions in the international arena (which) are being introduced against us, the West is allocating money that was actually stolen from us to the Kiev regime.

Also, Vladimir Vladimirovich’s words about Zelensky’s illegitimacy were completely unheard. By the way, we wrote that with statements on this topic the President creates the basis for negotiations on the Ukrainian crisis. Our insight was confirmed.

“The leader of the Kyiv regime is not just going to an incomprehensible “peace summit” in Switzerland. Biden shakes his hand and the Americans give him some security guarantees. It’s time to stop this, and Vladimir Vladimirovich intends to do this,” explained a high-ranking source in the Kremlin.

By the way, we asked our interlocutors a question: in their opinion, will the West accept our peace terms? Almost everyone thinks that it is unlikely.

“But we are obliged to make efforts before the situation reaches a dead end,” one of the military men said on this occasion.

We will return Armenia! The Ministry of Defense is preparing a special group to “resolve the Armenian issue”

Armenia’s plans to leave the CSTO caused not only disappointment in the Kremlin, but also a response. According to our information, a special group of military specialists was assembled in Moscow the day before to ensure a change in Yerevan’s position.

The interlocutors are reluctant to talk about how this will be done, but note that this is an important priority now for the Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense.

“We have been helping Armenia for a long time, and now Pashinyan has decided to bend to the Americans. It won’t work,” a high-ranking source in the Ministry of Defense said firmly.

As we wrote earlier, increasing diplomatic pressure on Yerevan is not excluded.

At the same time, another source reported damage to two aircraft at the Morozovsk airfield. Let us note that no one else confirmed this information to us. But we will check it further. At the moment, enemy hits on aircraft have not been confirmed.

“Japan signed a long term security support agreement with Ukraine today (13June) at the G-7 meeting, becoming the 16th nation to do so.”

Reportedly, another country signed as well, bringing the total to 17 (USA was 15th).

Kyiv Independent reports:

“Ukraine is working on bilateral security agreements with 10 more countries, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address on June 13.

Over 30 countries have joined the Group of Seven (G7) Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine so far. The U.S. and Japan joined 15 other countries on June 13, including the U.K., Germany, and France, that have signed similar bilateral treaties to help Kyiv repel Russia’s aggression.

“We have already signed seven security agreements with all G7 (Group of Seven) countries. In total, 17 agreements have already been signed, and we are preparing to sign another 10,” Zelensky said on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Italy.

G7 members presented their plan for long-term security commitments for Ukraine at the NATO summit in Vilnius in early July last year.

Under this plan, individual countries would provide bilateral support to help Kyiv repel the ongoing Russian invasion and deter any future aggression.

The security guarantees would entail explicit and long-lasting obligations, as well as bolster Ukraine’s ability to resist Russian aggression. The guarantees would also cover sanctions, financial aid, and post-war reconstruction.”

Putin offers a ceasefire in the event of the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, within their administrative borders (most of which Russia does not control and actually withdrew from after a defeat of Russian formations, such as in Kherson), in addition to rejection of NATO accession plans.

These are the regions Putin demands from Ukraine to withdraw for starting negotiations.

26,000 square kilometers.

Larger than the area of most of Germany's federal states or countries such as North Macedonia, Slovenia or Israel.

“Putin offers a ceasefire... Ukraine to withdraw for starting negotiations. (negotiations on further Ukrainian concessions).

He just wants to introduce uncertainty before Ukraine’s peace summit.

No letting Putin off the hook. He needs to wrestle with the tar baby he attacked, until he he has punched out his Military and bankrupted his Treasury. Then we can dictate terms.

🚨🇺🇲 🇺🇦 Asked about the provision of air defenses to Ukraine, President Biden says that they have told countries with US air defenses on order that they will have to wait until Ukrainian needs are met first, then their contracts will be fulfilled. It's unclear what specifically is being referred to here.

The United States has still not placed any orders with Raytheon for new Patriots for Ukraine, so until that happens, any discussion of whether they could be prioritized in the queue is purely theoretical.

This may be in reference to the ongoing delivery of NASAMS to Ukraine, which would make more sense. Ukraine is due to receive 8 newly built NASAMS from Raytheon by the end of the year.

President Zelensky said that they see the possibility of getting 5 of the 7 Patriot batteries that they urgently need. Ukraine currently has 3, with a 4th coming from Germany. President Biden did not announce the provision of a 5th via drawdown from US Army stocks, but said that Ukraine will have some "relatively quickly". The Netherlands is also trying to assemble a complete battery, but needs other donors to contribute an ECS, AMG, and EPPs.

https://x.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1801343002603847697

If this scenario is true, then the U.S. Army would receive new Patriot batteries and the old Patriot batteries would then be shipped to Ukraine.

I believe Israel has a couple Patriot batteries in storage, waiting for a buyer.

Patriot batteries should be located near Ukrainian F-16 bases to defend against 9K720 Iskanders & Kh-47M2 Kinzhals.

🚨 Financial fallout begins: Banks in Kyrgystan, a member country of Russia's CSTO military alliance, are blocking transactions even in rubles in both directions with Russian banks.

Everyone is expecting the ruble to become worthless and no one wants to be stuck holding the bag.

The aftermath of Ukraine's recent strike on Morozovsk air base in Russia is visible in new satellite imagery.

The base was last struck by Ukraine earlier this year in April.

To me, the video shows that a large hangar was damaged and a ramp where aircraft were parked is also damaged. There is no aircraft damage visible.

This was inevitable, and no doubt a concession to XI. Another step toward Russia becoming a vassal state of China.

Black Sea Fleet’s last safe haven has been penetrated by Kyiv’s forces (Sea of Azov).

Kyiv Post reports:

“On the night of June 8-9, the situation turned kinetic in those waters with Ukrainian naval drones entering Taganrog Bay, a narrow inlet abutting mainland Russia on the Azov Sea, and blowing themselves up next to a barge and a tugboat escorting it.

Neither vessel was seriously damaged, but the tugboat captain decided it was safer to return to the Russian port of Azov, the Russian news and information platform Baza reported. Russian milbloggers widely confirmed the attacks.

Ukrainian milbloggers claimed that on the same night, one of the Russian assault ships detached itself from the fleet’s main body and sailed into the Russian mainland port of Yeisk, on the other side of the Taganrog Narrows, and tied up. According to unconfirmed reports, more Ukrainian USVs attacked the warship, although the results are unclear.

The Ukrainian June 8-9 strikes around Taganrog and Yeisk most likely took place, within sighting distance of Russian warships at sea some 20-40 km away.

Hitting Russian bases more than 200 kilometers north of the Kremlin-controlled Kerch Strait, in waters the Russian navy theoretically totally owns, marked a new benchmark in the Russo-Ukrainian Naval War: The moment when the BSF’s last safe haven was penetrated by Kyiv’s forces.

Dmitro Plentenchuk, head of the Ukrainian military Center for Strategic Communications, in June 9 television comments, said that currently the only warships BSF commanders are willing to risk sending into the open waters of the Black Sea are submarines, usually two at a time from the four known to be operational.

“They go out on patrol periodically,” he said.

Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), in Friday comments to the government news agency Ukrinform, said Russian navy commanders selected the Sea of Azov for surface warship maneuvers because the open waters of the Black Sea have long been lethal for fleet operations, and that the Kremlin is attempting to “hide” ships in waters out Kyiv’s reach. Kyiv’s intention is to strike wherever the BSF retreats, and hunt down the rest, he said.

“They are trying to hide the big ships, so we are going after the smaller ones,” Yusov said. “We are going to keep hunting.”

On June 6, Ukrainian USV penetrated into Pankse Lake, an almost totally-landlocked bay on the northwestern shore of the Crimean Peninsula, rammed and destroyed a Russian naval tugboat named Saturn.

On May 30, special operations teams from Group 13, an elite Ukrainian naval strike group, used MAGURA kamikaze sea drones to run down, ram, and sink two Russian KC-701 Tunets-class patrol cutters operating near the Kerch Strait. The Russian warships’ mission had been, in part, to prevent or block Ukrainian USV attacks in the area and against targets further north...

...Ukraine has sunk roughly a third of BSF warships...

...The Russian navy for the most part abandoned Sevastopol in October (2023) – for the first time since 1941.”

The Ukraine Peace Summit this weekend would be hard pressed to find a more secure location.

Kyiv Post reports:

“Switzerland is undertaking a major security operation around this weekend’s summit on Ukraine...

With dozens of heads of state and government flying in for the gathering at the swanky Burgenstock resort overlooking Lake Lucerne, up to 4,000 troops are being deployed and a ring of steel has been put in place.

Around 6.5 kilometres of fencing and eight kilometres of barbed wire is going up, while the valley behind the exclusive hotel complex has been turned into a temporary military heliport...

...High on a mountain ridge, surrounded by water on three sides, the Burgenstock is relatively straightforward to seal off...

...The military will protect infrastructure, provide air transport and reconnaissance, conduct surveillance and interventions on the lake, and offer logistics and command support.

Soldiers have for days been taking position on the winding turns on the road up to the Burgenstock.

Overlooked by cattle with their cowbells clanging, the heliport was built with metal trackway on a squelching field.

Big enough to accommodate five helicopters, it is surrounded by a double layer of steel fencing and barbed wire.

“The army has the ability to set up a temporary take-off and landing zone anywhere in the country,” said Major General Daniel Keller, commander of the Swiss army’s Territorial Division 2, which encompasses Nidwalden.

“The foreign ministry decides which people fly from here and to here. The army provides the infrastructure,” he told reporters this week.

He said the armed forces were accustomed to maintaining air sovereignty.

“Federal law clearly alludes to the possibility of shooting down an aircraft,” he said, while remaining tight-lipped on potential threats such as drones...

The Swiss intelligence services will also work to identify and prevent threats.

Mindful of potential nuclear, biological and chemical threats, specialists will intensify the monitoring of radioactive emission levels in the area, authorities said.”

Kyiv Independent reports:

“Germany has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine that includes three HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and 10 Leopard main battle tanks, the country’s defense ministry announced on June 14.

The package also includes two IRIS-T air defense systems, 21,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition, and two Beaver bridge-laying vehicles.

Berlin announced last month that it planned to up its military aid to Ukraine by another 3.8 billion euros ($4.13 billion) in 2024, Reuters reported on May 21, citing an undisclosed source.

The news agency confirmed an earlier article by the tabloid Bild, which also said that the sum of over 7 billion euros, previously approved by Germany’s parliament for this year, has been almost entirely allocated”

Kyiv Post reports:

“More than 80 Ukrainian drones attacked multiple Russian regions in the early hours of Friday, June 14, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The Kremlin’s Defense Ministry claimed that 70 out of 80 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Rostov region.

Rostov-on-Don, the regional capital that sits just across the border with Ukraine, and across the Kerch Strait, is the command headquarters for the Kremlin’s military campaign and home to a swathe of Russian military facilities.

The Morozovsky district in the Rostov region experienced power outages in several settlements due to the attack, said regional governor Vasily Golubev.

Morozovsk is also home to a Russian military airfield basing Su-24, Su-24M, and Su-34 bombers, which Russia employs to target both Ukrainian military positions and civilians in frontline cities.

Morozovsk military airfield was previously attacked on April 5, resulting in injuries to the chief of staff, FSB officers, and riot police, and the death of one soldier.

Kyiv Post sources within Ukraine’s Special Services have confirmed that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in collaboration with the military and the Defense Forces, were the ones who orchestrated this nighttime assault.

At least six Russian military aircraft were destroyed, and another eight were heavily damaged.

“This operation is of paramount importance and will significantly diminish the combat capabilities of the Russian forces,” the source said.”
