Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

The “last offensive before the new mobilization” is unfolding at the front

Our army is intensifying offensive actions at the front. Our fellow war correspondents state the obvious fact: we need all of Ukraine. At the same time, the start of a new serious mobilization, which is necessary according to the majority of representatives of the country's military leadership, is constantly being postponed. We found out what is happening.

“Now, in fact, our last offensive before the new mobilization is unfolding, already underway. They cannot make a political decision on this issue. Therefore, we are trying to recruit as many people as possible for a contract, quickly send them into battle to ensure advancement at the front. For now, we are able to cover losses, but this may last another month and a half, maximum two,” a high-ranking source in the Ministry of Defense told us. According to him, there is hope that by autumn the Russian Armed Forces will have certain territorial achievements, liberated cities. “And after that, we need to recruit 300-400 thousand into the army or stop. I hope that the second option will not happen under any circumstances,” the channel's interlocutor emphasized.

Another source in the Ministry of Defense confirmed this information. And added: after a successful mobilization, already in the fall, demobilization of some of the military personnel who were called up to the army in 2022 is possible. The Kremlin is reluctant to comment on the topic of mobilization. “I think Vladimir Vladimirovich will announce it if there is a need. But for now we hope to do without mobilization. Of course, we are also thinking about demobilization. We hope that something will work out in the fall,” our interlocutor in the Presidential Administration noted.

Newt Gingrich

Putin is making it very clear that any truce in Ukraine will come only when he is defeated. We talk, he kills Ukrainians. We talk some more, he kills more Ukrainians. He has openly said he wants to destroy Ukraine and that is his war aim. A combined Ukrainian-US-European effort will be needed to defeat him badly enough that he wants a crease fire. Until then he will keep lying and killing. We don't need a single American military person fighting in Ukraine. We do need to provide advanced weapons in quantity, permission to hit against military targets in Russia and vastly expanded sanctions against Russia. Only then will a ceasefire be possible.

11,000 Russian “tanks” lost, as of today’s report.

Putin don’t care - he still lives in a palace, and the growing purges will keep him occupied.

SPALSH FLANKER: @Vijesti11111 posts images of the recent UKR shoot down of a Russian Su-30SM (NATO reporting name: Flanker) in Kharkiv Oblast.

The Flanker is considered one of Russia’s most capable air superiority aircraft, but it was no match for an AIM-120 AMRAAM missile.

Was the flanker shot down by an F-16 or NASAMs?

In the first half of 2025, the volume of transactions for the sale of overdue debts on the Russian market increased significantly. According to a study by the First Client Bureau and the ID Collect service, the volume of closed transactions amounted to 142.7 billion rubles, which is 30.2% more than the same period last year, the Vedomosti newspaper writes .

However, against the backdrop of the growth in transactions, an unusual situation is observed: despite the increase in volumes, prices for debt portfolios have begun to decline. As Pavel Mikhmel, Managing Director of PKB, notes, this trend differs from the expected dynamics, when the growth in volumes should have been accompanied by an increase in prices. According to the study, in the first quarter of 2025, the average price of debt portfolios was 6.6% of the principal amount, but in the second quarter it fell to 4.73%. These trends are confirmed by data from the electronic trading platform “Debt Market”, where the price for debts in the first half of the year was 34% lower compared to the same period in 2024.

The reasons for the decline in debt prices, according to experts, are high rates, which increase the cost of funding for buyers of debt portfolios. Access to bank loans and the securities market is currently limited for most companies, which makes the market more concentrated and restrains price growth. In addition, the market is also affected by new segments, such as bankrupt debts, and regulatory changes, says Evgeniya Utkina, Deputy General Director of ABC.

“despite the increase in volumes (of non-performing loans for sale), prices for debt portfolios have begun to decline. As Pavel Mikhmel, Managing Director of PKB, notes, this trend differs from the expected dynamics, when the growth in volumes should have been accompanied by an increase in prices”.

Actually, lower prices would be expected, for two big reasons:

- increased supply generally lowers price, of anything.
- increasing supply of bad debts is a sign of growing risk.

There are plenty of other signs of growing risks in Russian debt portfolios - it is the consensus outlook.

Storm clouds ahead for the Russian economy - batten down the hatches.

728 Shahed (Geran) drones or decoys last night, a new record. China is supplying the kits for assembly.

Kyiv Independent (9 July):

"Russia launched what seems to be its largest missile and drone attack against multiple Ukrainian cities overnight on July 9, with the far-western city of Lutsk coming under the heaviest attack of the war...

...Russia launched what seems to be the most extensive aerial attack against Ukraine during the full-scale war. Russian forces deployed 728 Shahed-type attack drones and decoys, as well as seven Kh-101 or Iskander-K cruise missiles and six Kinzhal missiles, the Air Force reported.

Ukrainian air defenses shot down 296 drones and all seven cruise missiles, while 415 drones disappeared from radars, according to the statement...

...Volyn Oblast Governor Ivan Rudnytskyi said the region had approximately 50 drones and five missiles present in the airspace overnight, adding that "nearly everything was aimed at Lutsk.""

Taking care of the housekeeping that Biden Admin neglected, or maliciously refused to do. Restocking munitions should be automatic.

Kyiv Independent (9July):

“US Army to sharply increase Patriot missile purchases in fiscal year 2026

“The U.S. Army intends to spend more than $1.3 billion on Patriot missile interceptors in fiscal year 2026, Bloomberg reported on July 9.

Internal Pentagon documents reportedly revealed that the Army has boosted its planned purchases of the most advanced Patriot interceptors from 3,376 to 13,773.” (this seems questionably large to me)...

...Budget documents show the U.S. purchased 2,047 PAC-3 MSE missiles by the end of fiscal year 2024, with 230 more bought in 2024 and 214 expected this year.”

Russian perfidy formally recognized, again.

Kyiv Independent (9 July):

“The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) found Russia responsible for the downing of Flight MH17, a Malaysian airliner shot down by Russian proxy forces in Ukraine in July 2014, according to a July 9 statement.

The Strasbourg-based court also found Russia accountable for “widespread and flagrant abuses of human rights” during its war against Ukraine that began with aggression in Donbas in 2014 and escalated after the full-scale invasion in 2022.

This marks the first case of an international court finding Russia accountable for the downing of the plane and for human rights abuses during its war against Ukraine.

“In none of the conflicts previously before (it had) there been such near universal condemnation of the ‘flagrant’ disregard by the respondent State for the foundations of the international legal order established after the Second World War,” the court said in its ruling.

Violations listed by the ECHR included torture and inhuman treatment, restriction of civil rights, forced labor, and more. Kyiv has long accused Russia of a score of war crimes and human rights violations on the battlefield and in the occupied territories.

The court is ruling on four cases lodged by Ukraine and the Netherlands against Russia over multiple violations — including the MH17 downing — between 2014 and 2022, before Russia was expelled from the body following the outbreak of the full-scale war...

...The Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization concluded in May that Russia was responsible for the airliner’s downing.

The ECHR is examining other pending cases lodged against Russia by Ukraine, as well as about 10,000 cases brought by individuals.”

I suspect there was a fair amount of NOT restocking munitions before Biden. I imagine many were eager to enjoy the Peace Dividend after 1991. Unfortunately, very few noticed Alexander Dugin’s ne w book in 1997.
