Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Former Transport Minister Roman Starovoit Found Dead in Moscow Region The main version of death is suicide.

The investigation is looking into the circumstances of the death of former transport minister Roman Starovoit, said Svetlana Petrenko, official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICR). “Today in the Odintsovo urban district, the body of the former Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Roman Vladimirovich Starovoit was found with a gunshot wound in his personal car. Investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region are working on the scene, establishing the circumstances of the incident. The main version is suicide,” said Petrenko.

Starovoit headed the Ministry of Transport in May 2024. Before that, from September 2019, he served as the Governor of the Kursk Region (before that, he was acting for a little less than a year). In 2012-2018, Starovoit headed Rosavtodor, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Transport. In 2019, he headed the subgroup “Safe and High-Quality Roads and Road Activities” in preparation for the State Council Presidium on Transport. On Monday morning it became known that he was dismissed from his post as Minister of Transport by decree of the President of the Russian Federation.

Roman Starovoit was 100% a man of the Rotenbergs. They fought for his position and freedom. And Andrei Nikitin, who replaced Starovoit as Minister of Transport, was 100% a man of the Kovalchuks. They defeated the Rotenbergs in the fight for the Ministry of Transport and, at the same time, Starovoit’s freedom.”

The Rotenbergs did not save. Why did Putin fire Starovoyt?

The President decided to fire Transport Minister Roman Starovoyt. This came as a surprise to many, and some madmen associate the dismissal with transport collapses that arose as a result of drone attacks on our airports (there are many questions about this, but not to Starovoyt personally, but to the entire system).

Back in April, we wrote that Starovoyt was facing prison . Much depended on whether the former head of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, would want to testify against his “patron”. A little later, Smirnov spoke up. And he told a lot of interesting things about how the regional authorities, even under Starovoyt, sawed off billions of rubles to strengthen the border. If it had not been for the border breach in August 2024, no one would have noticed.

“Starovoit expected that the Rotenbergs would cover for him. But they understand that the president needs to make an example of someone being punished for the Kursk failure. That's why they (the Rotenbergs) decided to back down,” said a source in the Presidential Administration.

According to preliminary information, only officially is there talk of a billion rubles being stolen from the construction of fortifications near the border. But, as sources say, the investigation is ongoing. It is also known that after Smirnov’s arrest, neighboring regions began to urgently build fortifications that were already on paper.

Curiously, the current head of the Kursk region, Aleksandr Khinshtein, can attribute any failures to the theft of previous leaders. And against this background, his request to allocate tens of billions for the restoration of the destroyed borderland does not look so bad.

A criminal case has been opened against the former First Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Viktor Strigunov. According to the investigation, in September 2014, a multi-million state contract was concluded between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and OOO SU Remstroytorg for the construction of a training center in the Kemerovo Region. Strigunov was responsible for monitoring the execution of the contract.

In 2014, Strigunov, having information about the existence of restrictions on the use of the training center due to the discrepancy between the area of the allocated land plot and its insignificant distance from the airport, instructed subordinate officials to organize its construction. As a result of the crime, the terms of the contract were not fulfilled, the training center was not put into operation, which resulted in property damage to the state on an especially large scale, in the amount of over 2 billion rubles. In addition, in 2012-2014. Strigunov received
bribes from representatives of commercial organizations in the amount of over 66 million rubles for general patronage in the implementation of multimillion-dollar state contracts for construction work.

Strigunov was detained in the city of Moscow, and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him.

Anton Gerashchenko@Gerashchenko_en

These are Ukrainian farmers from Kherson region. They’re harvesting watermelons, which is vital for their livelihood. They brought the child with them because their city is constantly under Russian drone attacks, and it’s unclear where it’s safer to stay.

And it’s not just watermelons being harvested under these conditions - this is constant danger. Russian drones are hunting peaceful Ukrainians to kill them.

This is the reality of life in frontline areas that haven’t yet been reduced to rubble by KABs.

Russia is constantly ramping up drone production. If this isn’t stopped, soon skies over every Ukrainian city will be filled with swarms of Russian drones, killing everything alive.

And then those drones won’t stop - they will head beyond Ukraine’s borders.

‘They have to be able to defend themselves’ — Trump says US will send additional weapons shipments to Ukraine, criticizes Putin

Kyiv Independent (8 July):

“The United States will send “more weapons” to Ukraine amid intensified Russian strikes, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on July 7, adding that he is disappointed in Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We’re gonna send some more weapons we have to send them, they have to be able to defend themselves, they’re getting hit very hard now,” Trump said alongside a U.S. and Israeli delegation at the White House...

...On July 7, Trump again said he was unhappy with Putin for failing to cooperate with U.S. efforts to end the war in Ukraine.

“It’s a horrible thing, and I’m not happy with President Putin at all,” Trump said. “I’m disappointed frankly that President Putin hasn’t stopped.”...

...Zelensky described his recent phone call with Trump as “the best conversation in all this time” in an evening address on July 5.”
