“Invisible”drones attack Russian Armed Forces command post near Mariupol
A command post of the Russian army was suddenly attacked near Mariupol. Such attacks happen all the time, but this case deserves special attention. “It was a drone attack. But it was not detected on radar or by sound. The blow was painful. Unfortunately, there are dead officers,” a military source said.
The Defense Ministry has not officially commented on the strike. According to rumors, General Andrei Mordvichev was supposed to arrive at the command post at that moment. However, plans changed at the last minute. It is unclear whether this is related to the competition between Mordvichev and Gerasimov. Perhaps it is just a coincidence.

Russia has not officially declared war on Ukraine.
Instead, Russia initiated what it calls a "special military operation" (SMO) on February 24, 2022, when it invaded Ukraine. This term is used by Russian officials to describe the conflict, avoiding the legal and political implications of a formal declaration of war. Posts on X and various sources confirm this distinction, noting that even amidst escalated attacks, such as the large-scale drone and missile strikes in May 2025, Russia continues to frame the conflict as an SMO rather than a declared war. A formal declaration of war would trigger specific international and domestic legal consequences, which Russia has so far avoided.
This is worth a review given dictator Zelensky's latest provocation
Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation, drones struck Russia's “Zvezda” space intelligence facility in Stavropol Krai. A GRU station since the 1970s, it intercepts satellite signals and conducts cyber-espionage. One hit confirmed from three drones.

The site specializes in intercepting electronic signals from orbit, including from foreign commercial and military satellite systems. It is also involved in processing space-based intelligence used for Russia’s broader military and information campaigns.

In Crimea, 14 military personnel, including two officers, were killed in an enemy drone strike. These are the consequences of the drone attack
“Most of the drones were shot down. Unfortunately, not all of them. The enemy hit important targets, valuable military specialists were killed, 14 people. Among them were two officers,” our source in the General Staff reported. Of course, we will not disclose who exactly died and where the enemy ended up. At the same time, we are deliberately publishing information about the deaths of military personnel.
For a long time now, we have been calling on the Ministry of Defense to strengthen the air defense of Crimea and Sevastopol. And enemy drones and missiles constantly break through our defenses on the peninsula, which leads to serious consequences. Andrei Removich [Belousov], maybe it's time to hear our calls?

What me Worry
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday his country would keep enriching uranium “with or without a deal” with world powers, despite ongoing negotiations over its nuclear programme.
“If the US is interested in ensuring that Iran will not have nuclear weapons, a deal is within reach, and we are ready for a serious conversation to achieve a solution that will forever ensure that outcome,” Araghchi posted on X. “Enrichment in Iran, however, will continue with or without a deal,” he said. Iran currently enriches uranium to 60 percent, far above the 3.67-percent limit set in the 2015 deal but below the 90 percent needed for a nuclear warhead.

“Russia has not officially declared war on Ukraine.”
A turd by any other name, would smell as bad.
Russia is obviously simply lying again. Obviously.
They meet the legal requirements of war, and have made Putin a legal Military target.
The 1949 Geneva Convention (to which Russia is a signatory) was designed to apply without official declarations of war, which have rarely been issued since WWII.

If Germany sends Taurus missiles to Ukraine, Russia has a major Crimean Bridge problem
Kyiv Independent:
"In April, Merz even specifically suggested Taurus could be used to target strategic Russian military infrastructure in occupied Crimea, including the Crimean Bridge.
In an interview with ARD, Merz emphasized the need to support Ukraine in moving from a reactive to a proactive stance on the battlefield, saying Kyiv must be equipped to "shape events" and "get ahead of the situation."
"If things continue as they are, if, for example, the most important land connection between Russia and Crimea is destroyed, or if something happens on Crimea itself, where most of the Russian military logistics are located, then that would be an opportunity to bring this country strategically back into the picture, finally," Merz said...
...The primary distinction for Taurus is in the design of the actual warhead — Taurus can be programmed to explode after hitting a specific target, such as a bunker.
The missile can penetrate and actually count layers before the final explosion, maximizing damage.
Taurus would represent a major upgrade to Ukraine’s deep-strike firepower, primarily because it can blast through denser Russian fortifications...
...Taurus "can be easily adapted" to F-16 fighter jets, which are now deployed in Ukraine, and to Gripen — a Swedish aircraft that could be on their way soon.
"Taurus is the best weapon system in Western arsenals to take down bridges," said Hoffmann.
"So in theory, if Ukraine wants to take down the Crimean Bridge, Taurus would be the ideal weapon system to do that."

(Looks like Moscow and Sochi are both within range. Uneasy sleeps the head, that wears the war crime crown.)
