Do you really think the writers of the Constitution thought it would be necessary for the president to be a citizen?

The writers of the Constitution had no idea what they were doing. Their vague writings were later amended. Still didn’t clarify what a NBC is. So SC decisions and hundreds of lower court decisions apply now.
Add this all up and guess what? ANY US citizen could be president. No matter where they were born. No matter where there parents were born.
See Trump, Kamala, Obama, McCain, Cruz and etc. as proof.

You’re completely insane. The founders wanted a president to have sole allegiance to be president and not have allegiances to foreign governments, which all anchor babies do. Matter of fact when George Washington was framing the presidential qualifications clause to the Constitution, John Jay, the first Supreme Court chief justice wrote this letter to George:

New York 25 July 1787
Dear Sir
I was this morning honored with your Excellency’s Favor of the 22d Inst: & immediately delivered the Letter it enclosed to Commodore Jones, who being detained by Business, did not go in the french Packet, which sailed Yesterday.
Permit me to hint, whether it would not be wise & seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government, and to declare expressly that the Command in chief of the american army shall not be given to, nor devolved on, any but a natural born Citizen.
Mrs Jay is obliged by your attention, and assures You of her perfect Esteem & Regard—with similar Sentiments the most cordial and sincere I remain Dear Sir Your faithful Friend & Servt
John Jay

Can you cite for all of us just one thing that is vague in the Constitution? Just one.
The writers used commonly accepted legal terms when they wrote. They defined none of those terms. Natural born citizen was a legal term current in their day, and ours, but it is just that, with a lot of things now, people pretend to not know.
