I’m sure there are some great finds at garage sales.
But thrift stores have become Big Business, at least in my area. They know if something they receive is valuable, and will whisk it away to the antique businesses.
We have one in our area that does a land office business. We’ve gotten some great deals there. Not in silver, but other things.
