Had the same problem with my discover card. Used a different card and it went through.

“The charge decline issue is with the Free Republic website.”
The problem may be that the field to enter the CC info had no no place to enter the 3 number security code.

thought it works everywhere else

I made a donation a week or so ago and my debit card worked fine.

Just tried again with mastercard and card was declined
no problem w card; use it constantly
so discover and mastercard has been declined
FR may be on a blacklist with credit card company?
