I used to work for a company that did a lot of business with the NSA.

On one trip to Ft. George Meade, in the mid 90’s, one of their guys told me “We have everything.”

And he wasn’t kidding, or being bombastic.

He said if someone talks on a walkie-talkie at 3am in Siberia, we have it....................

Obama had a ball with US intel——put all 17 intel agencies
at candidate Hillary’s disposal to get something on Trump.......

This from a recent FR thread....Obama’s US Intel also tapped foreign spy ops
to surveil 26 Trump associates in the 2016 election runup.

Americans were specifically targeted:
<><>targets of Obama’s US Intel and law enforcement
<><>targets for intel collection and misinformation,
<><>targeted to covertly initiate contact
<><>to slyly manipulate
<><>to covertly develop useful intel harmful to Trump.

By March 2016 US intel were sending agents to the UK, Australia, Italy —
the Israeli Mossad in Italy apparently at a Brits MI6 intel school they had set up.

Then presto, Obama intel found Trump “colluded with Russia.”

Much truth to this as they have satellites, listening posts around the world set up to capture everything. Back in 2013-2018 the Federal Gov was the largest buyer of Computer storage in the world, so much so there was a backorder of Server hardware and drives and all headed to Utah where they house the largest databases in the history of mankind...and databases have long memories...

This is interesting. Having “everything” presents is own challenges and does not translate into perfect or universal knowledge. The more data you have, the harder it might be to locate exactly what you are looking for. For instance, if one were looking for information on a certain subject, you might filter “everything” for certain key words or phrases, or you might filter it based on the sender or recipient. I would expect the data to be filtered multiple times before it recaches a human ear for further sorting based on relevance. My naive guess is that AI is a great aid in this task nowadays, and as AI advances, older data might be filtered and reveal things not yet known.
