REPORT: Joe Biden Rejected Proposal from Vladimir Putin to Halt the War in Ukraine

Joe Biden may have missed an opportunity to potentially end the horrific conflict between Ukraine and Russia by outright dismissing one of the combatant’s peace proposals. If true, this would mark yet another catastrophic foreign policy failure.

Reuters reported Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin signaled to Washington in 2023 in public and privately through intermediaries that he was ready to open to a ceasefire in Ukraine. Putin’s proposal was to freeze the war along current lines, which includes territory gained by Russia.

Sources told Reuters that this approach from Putin offered what some Kremlin figures saw as the best hope for some form of peace. But Biden and his Regime rejected the proposal without countering, as one Russian source lamented.

It’s not Biden’s decision to make.

Exactly! We’re waging a proxy war on Russia. That’s why.

“It’s all about the biolabs and money laundering.”

Couldn’t agree with you more!

The line should be where the border was before Russia’s aggression.

You can’t “agress” an area that votes to be Russian. Especially after they’ve seceded.

The line should be the Dnipro River.

--- "We “own” Ukraine...."

Surely seems like the "we" is some who are quite identifiable.

One reads: "The largest landholders are a mix of oligarchs and a variety of foreign interests – mostly European and North American, including a US-based private equity fund and the sovereign fund of Saudi Arabia. All but one of the ten largest landholding firms are registered overseas, mainly in tax havens such as Cyprus or Luxembourg. Even when run and still largely controlled by an oligarch founder,a number of firms have gone public with Western banks and investment funds now controlling a significant amount of their shares. The report identifies many prominent investors, including Vanguard Group, Kopernik Global Investors, BNP Asset Management Holding, Goldman Sachs-owned NN Investment Partners Holdings, and Norges Bank Investment Management, which manages Norway's sovereign wealth fund. A number of large US pension funds, foundations, and university endowments are also invested in Ukrainian land through NCH Capital – a US-based private equity fund, which is the fifth largest landholder in the country."

That’s like a bank robber saying “You let me keep what I stole, and I’ll promise not to rob any more banks if you don’t prosecute me.”

Brilliantly brilliantacious, so say I.

I truly think there are some well-meaning of the "soft" and idealistic Left and MANY on the solid and well-informed Right who have their heads on straight, and both should be dead set against the MASSIVE corruption in which this world awash.

As someone more clever than I observed, in the Star Wars sage, THE worst of the worst -- the Emperor behind the Empire -- was a POLITICIAN. Someone who would rule, rule harshly and rule all.

And Sir Alec Guinness was a brilliant actor as well....

No, it is all about Putin wanting to reestablish the old Russian Empire. Even in his interview with Tucker Carlson he repeated his belief that Ukraine is a make-believe country that is really a part of Russia. All the other excuses are just that, excuses.

The U.S. gets to say something about it because we are massively funding and supplying the ukies, without which they would fold in weeks. He who pays the piper calls the tune.

You know he would. He [Biden] can’t have the World learning what the Bio Labs in Ukraine contain. Nor having the World learning the extent of the damage they have inflicted upon the World.

It was a rhetorical question, making exactly that point. We are waging a proxy war against Russia, and it is deeply disturbing that most of America does not realize it.
