Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

It does leave me curious about which country is third. All the top ten actually.

UK is third. BREXIT has sadly turned out to be an economic disaster, and UK is the only G7 country with negative growth over the past 5 years. Lots of multi-national corporations moved their headquarters from UK to maintain EU trade benefits. That alone meant thousands of C-Suite officers leaving. The London Financial sector suffered similarly, as hundreds of banks and trillions of $ left for the EU. The Populists won the referendum, but their promise of freedom and prosperity, while saving Brit culture, seems to have been snake oil. The game isn't necessarily over, but so far BREXIT has been rough on UK.

UAE has been a big winner, essentially becoming Russia's Switzerland. But Russian money brings the Russian mob, and of course FSB/SVR. How UAE deals with that will determine whether this is a net positive over the long run.

Apparently Biden is cancelling all Nat gas contracts.

He has delayed unapproved permits for some export terminals by ordering a pause on their environmental impact reviews. Already approved terminals will continue construction and add significantly to our exports. Germany has purchased long term contracts with one of the delayed terminals, but the project isn't planned to be fully operational until 2026. This German contract would secure Germany as an LNG customer for 20 years, essentially ending any hope for Russia to recapture them. It's almost like Biden is working directly for Putin.

I guess those russophile freepers who think Europe should buy her gas from Putin, will support the reduction of our exports. If they had their way, we would have no market for this gas anyway.

It’s almost like Biden is working directly for Putin.

and along with his allies in the House GOP, holding Ukraine military supplements hostage - great opportunity for Putin to gain more territory and slaughter more Ukrainians. Maybe the money Joe & Hunter took from Ukraine was backdoored from Moscovia & originating from the CCP.

Its only natural that the Hose GOP wants to get in on this huge gravy train.

CNBC reports:

“Ukraine formally started the screening process to begin talks over its future membership of the European Union on Thursday (25 January, 2024), President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

In a post on X, the Ukrainian leader said he welcomed the start of “substantial preparations for Ukraine’s EU accession talks” in Brussels, following an agreement reached with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen last week at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.”

“Why does Turkey get in return” (For approving Sweden’s NATO membership)

“F-16s”

The Hill reports today:

“The top Senate Democrat with oversight of foreign affairs said Friday he is greenlighting a sale of F-16s to Turkey following Ankara’s following through on Sweden’s accession to NATO.

Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said in a statement that he will permit the sale of F-16s to Turkey...

...“My approval of Turkey’s request to purchase F-16 aircrafts has been contingent on Turkish approval of Sweden’s NATO membership.”

The Russian ruble exchange rate seems to have been triggering an algorithmic intervention for the last several days.

It seems to be under some kind of pressure, but still keeping it under 90 to the dollar.

Looks like they are getting 40 new blk 70 Vipers and kits to upgrade about 70 of their old F-16s to Vipers.

https://www.dsca.mil/press-media/major-arms-sales/turkiye-f-16-aircraft-acquisition-and-modernization

Also, due to the politics of holding back F-16s to Turkey, we’ve been holding off on announcing our sale of 40 F-35A to Greece. So now we have announced that too.

https://www.dsca.mil/press-media/major-arms-sales/greece-f-35-joint-strike-fighter-conventional-take-and-landing-ctol

It seems all of NATO is getting new fighters.

US to station nuclear weapons in UK to counter threat from Russia

UK is down to SLBMs as her only nuclear deterrent. The F-35 gives the B-61-12 nuclear bombs a whole new life, as it can penetrate Russia's air defense systems, making them a far more credible threat than current 4th Generation fighters. For now, only the F-35A can carry the B-61, not UKs F-35Bs, and these weapons will be controlled and carried by USAF. Italy, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands are all included in the Nuclear Sharing arrangement, and all have or will have F-35A fighters.

Way off topic, but if NATO were dissolved with the current Russian threat remaining, Europe would by necessity have to build a massive nuclear deterrence. The current inventory in UK and France is wholly insufficient, and Putin would see a nuclear war as easily winnable. Multiple European countries would see nuclear weapons as essential to their survival, including Poland and Ukraine.

Meet the F-16 Block 70/72 - the World’s Newest and Most Advanced Production F-16
https://www.lockheedmartin.com/content/dam/lockheed-martin/aero/documents/F-16/Jan20_Product%20Card%20F-16%20Block%207072%20media.pdf

Interesting tidbit from a War Zone article of AESA radars:
“AESA radars, as The War Zone has long pointed out, additionally have the secondary potential to carry out non-kinetic attacks using highly focused beams of electromagnetic energy to jam, disrupt, and even damage the electronics within aircraft, missiles, and other systems.”

“ADVANCED AESA RADAR AND ELECTRONIC WARFARE SUITE
A new advanced APG-83 AESA radar ...”

One would presume that capability would extend to Moscovian drones.

F-16E/F Block 60
Based on the F-16C/D Block 50/52, it features improved radar, avionics and conformal fuel tanks. A major difference from previous blocks is the Northrop Grumman AN/APG-80 Active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, which gives the airplane the capability to simultaneously track and destroy ground and air threats.

61 of the Dutch F-16 MLUs have the APG-66(V)2 - upgrade of base radar developed for the F-16 Fighting Falcon Block 15 Mid Life Update program. New signal processor, higher output power, improved reliability. Range in clutter/jamming environment increased to 83 km.

Is it worth buying apartments in Mariupol?

The other day, a video with a realtor talking about the benefits of investing in war-torn Mariupol went viral on the Internet. We were asked in the comments to tell you whether this is really profitable. We answer.

Firstly , the city was almost completely destroyed as a result of hostilities. And although before the start of the North Military District, Mariupol was a completely well-equipped city (Kiev was building it as a showcase of the Ukrainian Donbass), now the city is destroyed and its restoration is not going as quickly as expected, as our sources in the government admit.

An important point is that living in such conditions is morally difficult. That’s why there aren’t many people willing to take part besides the military and special services.

Secondly , the experience of Donetsk and Sevastopol shows that investments in new regions do not always pay off. For example, in Donetsk, real estate prices were not very high and in the period from 2015 to 2022 the situation in the city was stable, there were shellings, but extremely rarely, which is confirmed by official DPR statistics.

However, after the special operation launched by Vladimir Putin, Donetsk found itself in the line of fire and began to be shelled much more often. A similar situation may be with other front-line cities, including the port of Mariupol. Even if the fighting is paused, the buildings will be partially rebuilt, but during the next round of war the city will be destroyed again.

Another detail that is not mentioned on federal TV is that not everyone in Mariupol views Russia favorably. Many remember peaceful life, many had their apartments and houses destroyed, some lost loved ones.

In this regard, among the local residents who did not leave, there are many Ukrainian informants. Sometimes they surrender the positions of our army to the enemy, sometimes they poison and kill the military themselves. Under these conditions, it is extremely difficult to talk about quality life even in the rebuilt Mariupol.

In this regard, it is now extremely difficult to talk about the prospects of investing in destroyed real estate in Mariupol or other cities of Donbass.

Drones...certainly.

Cruise missiles...most likely.

Perhaps NASAMs radars could be upgraded to include this same capability.

So IF Ukraine actually gets F-16s then the whole Moscovian plan of drone/non-ballistic missile attacks is possibly cooked, without the necessary of expending valuable missiles to take them out.

—> Are you going to bathe this year?

I always enjoy listening to foreigners speak in English.

It made me chuckle out loud this time! I thank you for that.

Also, I’ve read how rarely Germans bathe - preferring to sit and sweat naked with children and strangers.

I should let you know we don’t do that here in America.

It would be considered immoral.

Also, we don’t randomly ask strangers if they bathe. Most of us bathe daily, which will come as a shock to any German woman of your maturity level.

As such, bathing here is not unusual or newsworthy as it might be in your own country.

That said, unless you make language mistakes and these kinds of social blunders, you won’t progress. No shame there. Keep moving ahead and you’ll keep improving.

Ukraine's F-16 will have the APG-66(V)2 radar, not the APG-83 AESA radar.

So they probably won't have the ability to take out the drones with a focused EMP.

Ukraine's F-16 with Aim-120s & Aim-9Ms will easily handle the drones & cruise missiles.

On a related note, Taiwan's F-16s are being upgraded to Block 70.

Approximately 1/2 of their fleet has already been modified.
