Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

According to Peter Zeihan on YouTube, the attack on the Russian fuel export capacity at Ust-Luga appears to have been pretty successful - augmented by an incompetent response and freezing that amplified the damage.

The fire burned for three days, and now portions are encased in ice.

Serhiy is the guy who shot down the very first two russian helicopters over the Hostomel Airfield, on the first morning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. Almost two years since that day, we’re still here in Hostomel. The russians - not anymore.

“In Vyborg in the Leningrad region in Russia, a big explosion happened.”

Just South of Vyborg along the coast is the port of Primorsk, one of Russia’s big four oil export facilities in the West (Primorsk, Ust-Luga, Murmansk and Novorossiysk).

Lavrov met with Trump’s man in the USA. Russia is preparing a framework for future negotiations on Ukraine

Sergei Lavrov, during a trip to New York, had a meeting with a person close to Donald Trump. The meeting was short and took place at the hotel where Lavrov was staying, but in a different room.

According to our information, Lavrov conveyed a personal message for Trump from Vladimir Putin. It is no secret that the Kremlin is betting on Trump in future US elections - he will be Joe Biden’s main competitor.

The sources are not familiar with the text of the personal message to Trump, but reported that the meeting lasted only 10 minutes. There is reason to believe that Lavrov conveyed to the Trump team a proposal for negotiations with Washington on the Ukrainian crisis.

It is worth noting that this is not the only time Russia and the United States are in contact regarding future negotiations . There are contacts through the generals, as well as the diplomatic line. However, it is obvious that any serious negotiations are possible only at the level of top officials of the state.

As for what Russia’s proposals might be, sources speak extremely carefully. The main task now is to stop or reduce the pace of supplies of weapons and other assistance to Ukraine from NATO countries.

[ Note: The House GOP is all over this task. Moscovians should not have to worry about supplies of weapons and other assistance for many months. Time enough for Moscovia to make significant advances and slaughter more Ukrainians. ]

An important and painful moment for Moscow is the confiscation of Russian assets abroad. The Kremlin hopes that this mechanism will not work before Trump’s arrival, although they understand that relevant US decisions will trigger a domino effect throughout Europe.

Russian billionaires are extremely unhappy about this issue. There are fears that it will not be possible to agree on a “package” at the state level, so there are personal consultations and attempts to remove the property from sanctions and sell/register it to another owner.

Regarding Kiev’s non-aligned status, rumors have appeared in the press that Russia is supposedly ready to agree to Ukraine’s right to become a NATO member, but in reality our sources do not confirm this.

“The media write that Russia is ready to agree to the possibility of Ukraine becoming a NATO member in exchange for recognition of the territories already taken under control.

This is not entirely true. It is written in our Constitution that Kherson and Zaporozhye are Russia. How to deal with this? Will Ukraine voluntarily give us these cities? I seriously doubt it,” said a source in the diplomatic corps.

In general, sources allow negotiations along the Moscow-Washington line, but agree that even the desire of the two Presidents may not be enough.

“There is Europe, which is certainly not as strong as the United States, but also has its own ambitions. The British are helping Ukraine a lot.

“In general, in Europe they are preparing with all their might for the arrival of Trump, the same Scholz believed in himself and sees himself as almost the leader of the entire European Union.

“And Kyiv, it seems, is not ready to negotiate. We are pressing, but you can see for yourself that the front is moving very slowly,” said another of our interlocutors.

All interlocutors agree that the NWO is unlikely to end in 2024.

To strengthen the negotiating position, Russia will have to carry out mobilization in a combined way - mobilization, signing contracts, calling up conscripts, searching for foreigners.

It could take months just to clear the ice and do the damage assessment.

I wonder how many drones were launched and how many hit their target (DMPI).

Kudos to the UKF mission planners...they did a great job.

“Kudos to the UKF mission planners...they did a great job.” (on the Ust-Luga export terminal)

I think it is only a part of a larger Winter campaign to sabotage Russia’s hydrocarbon infrastructure, that is used to generate revenue for its war effort (as earlier reports indicated were planned).

I expect more fireworks before Spring, and that they will be designed to support each other to produce secondary effects on Russia’s oil/gas industries.

+1

Not just oil/gas...all dual use infrastructure should be attacked.

Electric substations, logistics hubs, transportation, bridges, train depots.

Russian billionaires are extremely unhappy about this issue.

Start with the frozen assets of the ruzzian billionaires.

Liquidate their frozen assets and use the funds to buy drones.

Yes, Biden is pulling the rug out from under previously approved LNG export capacity projects, for which investors have amassed billions of dollars. Shades of the Keystone pipeline and the Border Wall.

This is likely an election year ploy to curry favor with environmentalists, but also likely a move to collect bribes from both sides (with the “Environmentalists” doing Moscow’s bidding).

OilPrice.com reports:

Biden Administration Halts Approvals of New LNG Export Projects

“The Biden Administration said on Friday it is pausing all pending decisions on U.S. LNG export projects until the Department of Energy can update the underlying analyses for authorizations.

The move was hailed as a “historic win” by environmentalists and slammed as “a win for Russia” by the U.S. oil lobby.

During the temporary pause – which is expected to affect four planned LNG export projects – DOE will carry out a new updated review on the impact of such projects on health and communities (among other excuses, like climate change).

...American Petroleum Institute (API) President and CEO Mike Sommers said the LNG permit pause “is a win for Russia and a loss for American allies, U.S. jobs and global climate progress.”

“There is no review needed to understand the clear benefits of U.S. LNG for stabilizing global energy markets, supporting thousands of American jobs and reducing emissions around the world by transitioning countries toward cleaner fuels. This is nothing more than a broken promise to U.S. allies, and it’s time for the administration to stop playing politics with global energy security.””

I find the talk of artillery shells quite interesting?
Mass standard shelling is ineffective, but fields covered with shell craters shows that volume does not equal effectiveness.

Smart shells, one shell one kill. Even with the cost must be considered.

How many shells would it take to guarantee that dugout was taken out.

I understand there are formulas for that and they are in the hundred to thousands

Additionally i remember quite clearly all those out there saying Russia had plenty of shells, down from 70000 a day to less than 10k

Even with 2 million shells produced and 2 million from NK, results in maintains 10k per day but no where near what the were.

Worn out barrels, and poorly trained crews most
Likely means not very effective or efficient.

Mass shelling is great for “liberating “ cities…..

Here's some BDA from Tuapse oil refinery.

⚡️The 🇷🇺 Rosneft plant in Tuapse stopped work after the attack by the Security Service of 🇺🇦 Ukraine drones - Reuters

According to Reuters sources, the plant stopped both oil processing and production of petroleum products. It will not be possible to quickly restore production. Repairs will last until the end of February - beginning of March.

As a result of the attack by drones of the Security Service of Ukraine, which took place on January 25, the vacuum plant of the plant burned down. As reported, the target of the Security Service of Ukraine was the facilities that provide fuel to the enemy troops and are important for the Russian economy.

The Tuapsin Refinery is among the ten largest in the country and processes up to 9 million tons of raw materials every year.
