Nearly 100 organizations that plan to protest against Israel are expected to be in Chicago as the war in Gaza reaches 10 months. The groups expected to protest outside the DNC between Monday and Thursday include CODEPINK, the Palestinian Feminist Collective, Students for Justice in Palestine Chicago, American Muslims for Palestine Chicago, and other pro-Palestinian groups active across the United States, according to a new report by a watchdog group.
Activists who have pressured the Biden administration for a ceasefire and an end to military aid said their calculus has not changed, even after Biden stepped aside.
OBSERVATION - Protestors were relatively quiet in Milwaukee but here they are trying to be loud. The focal point of these hard core leftist groups is the complete isolation of Israel - a fight they are facing internally against traditionally moderate, pro-israel democrats. Just like in places like Portland, these radical groups are attempting to bully the party into conceding to their demands. In Portland, antifa has been largely successful. new photos of Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks have raised more questions about the failed assassination attempt.
One of the images captures the 20-year-old Crooks perched on a wall in a grassy area on July 13 at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally - just moments before he opened fire.
In the picture, Crooks can be seen holding up his cell phone - as if chatting to someone on a call. Investigators have still not determined what Crooks’ motive was or whether he was indeed acting alone.
The other picture captures the moment Crooks turns to look over his shoulder while sitting in the same position. It was unclear what prompted him to turn, or whether he was talking to someone behind him.
OBSERVATION - This topic has shifted to several categories over the past month in these TM’s. Evidence points to the strong likelihood that Crooks was recruited by the deep state and an assassination of trump being a key component of the efforts to shut down opposition, the questions raised by these photos - especially the one with him apparently talking on his phone minutes prior to the attack - raise more questions. That call should be identifiable and traceable. More and more, the grossly botched security plans and now bungling investigation all point to Crooks having insider support. The silence about the investigation is LOUD.
Terrorism - Heightened THREAT as of Aug 1, 2024
A Jordanian national who currently lives in Orlando, Florida has been arrested and charged with destroying an energy facility and threatening the use of explosives to destroy multiple other businesses.
According to the Daily Caller, the charges were filed against 43-year-old Hashem Younis Hashem Hnaihen by the Department of Justice (DOJ). The charges were announced in a DOJ press release on Thursday, detailing his campaign of violence against multiple businesses in the Orlando area that resulted in over $700,000 in damage.
Hnaihen’s attacks began in June of 2023, targeting businesses that he claimed, without evidence, were pro-Israel. He would carry out his attacks late at night and would wear a mask to conceal his face on security cameras. He smashed windows and glass doors and left behind “warning letters” that were addressed to the federal government. In the letters, he threatened to “destroy or explode everything here in whole America. Especially the companies and factories that support the racist state of Israel.”
One of his victims was a solar power generation facility in Wedgefield, Florida, where he “spent hours systematically destroying solar panel arrays.”
OBSERVATION - This guy is here legally. Imagine the thousands of others of his ilk here illegally.

According to CNBC: “Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the swelling national debt is manageable as long as it stays around where it is relative to the rest of the economy. ‘If the debt is stabilized relative to the size of the economy, we’re in a reasonable place,’ she told CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin. ‘The way I look at it is that we should be looking at the real interest cost of the debt. That’s really what the burden is.’”
The public share of the national debt as a share of GDP is running at about 97% but is expected to soon top 100% at current spending rates. In other words, the national debt is on track to eclipse the size of the entire U.S. economy’s annual output.
Just this fiscal year alone (starting October 1, 2023), interest costs on the national debt have exceeded $600 billion, which is more than the government spent on healthcare of defense, and four times its education expenditures. In the entirety of the 2023 fiscal year, interest costs were $659 billion.
The budget deficit for 2024 is running at $1.2 trillion with four months left in the fiscal year. In 2023, the shortfall totaled $1.7 trillion.

While Ocheretyne continues to be the focus on Russia’s offensive, Kursk is taking increasingly higher priorities. It is already evident that the intensity of Russian attacks in other sectors like Chasiv Yar have decreased substantially, as forces are moved to Kursk.
Ukraine is also making reinforcement more difficult for Russia, now targeting bridges and other transportation routes.
I’m not convinced that Russian leaders have any kind of a handle of what is going on in Kursk. Resistance is building, but coordination/communications between units is still very poor, creating seams that Ukraine is exploiting to further penetrations to hit forces from the rear.
AFA a second Ukraine offensive - I would’t rule it out as they evaluate where Russia has pulled forces from and the status of this remaining.

Doha talks are done, with no deal. Now Iran has to fish or cut bait, it has run out of excuses to delay any attack. Thus an attack could be kicked off at a moment’s notice.
Israel continues to maintain readiness to respond, as demonstrated by its air refueling exercise yesterday. Though in a broad sense, Israeli ops in Gaza have stepped down a bit potentially in preparation for the impending attack.
Hezbollah for its part, released a video of one of its underground complexes. Construction of such a large facility would definitely have left a substantial footprint. Though buried in a mountain - it has serious vulnerabilities such as destroyable entrances/exits and other portals. Given Israel’s intensive intelligence operations in Lebanon, these are likely already been pinpointed and set into a target set. Hezbollah has put a lot of eggs into one basket with these mega bunkers.

Terrorism - Heightened THREAT as of Aug 1, 2024
Officials at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland (JBSA) said its security officers returned fire on multiple active shooters who fired upon the main gate at the JBSA Chapman Training Annex early Saturday.
The incident occurred Saturday morning around 4:30 am when at least once suspect in a sedan fired at security officers. . San Antonio police were also on the scene, according to local news outlet KSAT 12.
Authorities did not say if anyone was hurt or how many individuals were involved in the exchange of gunfire. Officials did indicate that the shooters were not known to have any military connections.
“There was no active threat to the installation … and our security forces responded to mitigate the threat,” said JBSA spokesperson Stefanie Antosh to the media. No motive was given for the shooting and Antosh said the suspects did not try to breach the main gate.

OBSERVATION - Officials are avoiding the use of the term - terrorism - to describe the incident. Some want to write it off as some gangster related crime of opportunity. I think differently in the context of recent incidents at other military facilities. I’m inclined to consider this to be more likely a probing attack, test run.
Lackland has private security at the gates, IIRC, and this could be a test on how they would respond to a lethal attack. Seems that the assailants encounter quick weapons fire in return. I expect probes to increase, especially as conditions around the world continue to deteriorate and nations hostile to the US look to asymmetric warfare such as terror strikes on US facilities as possible weapons to use.

The Washington Post, owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, excoriated Harris in an editorial, taking the Democrat presidential nominee to task for claiming price gouging is fueling inflation. Rather than offering a plan to fix it, the Post said, she offered “populist gimmicks” during a campaign speech Friday.

Ukrainian forces have reportedly captured / destroyed Russia’s 155th infantry brigade (essentially the remnants thereof) following publication by Russian members showing Ukrainian POWs who were decapitated and heads put on poles. Unconfirmed reports that 155th were not to be taken prisoner but exterminated.
Ukraine continues to take out more bridges, raising the ire of Russian civil authorities attempting to get people evacuated ahead of the Ukraine push.

Outlook —
Ukraine continues to yield ground grudgingly to Russia in the Ocheretyne front while still gobbling up Russian territory. The Ocheretyne salient is dangerously thin and extended and if Ukraine has the resources, a localized counter attack could pinch it off and isolate a pretty large Russian force.
Word of a new purge in the Kremlin only means more confusion in command and coordination of the war against Ukraine. The invasion of Kursk has shaken some in the kremlin and maybe even putin, with ample blame rolling downhill. Parallel rumors of grumblings leaning toward a potential coup attempt are on the rise as well. Normally purges are associated with eliminating opposition that could lead a coup.
One of the other drivers of a potential coup is the massive hemorrhage of men and equipment the war has inflicted on Russia and the overall declining economic conditions. Not that the Moscovite rulers of Russia really care about the little people but they are a minority in the country.
Short term forecast is continued fighting as been developed over the past couple weeks. Potential for Ukraine to launch a supporting attack if they have the forces and can successfully weaken the Russian defenses through redeployment of forces into Kursk.

Later on Saturday, Hezbollah launched some 55 rockets against northern Israeli communities in what it described as a response to the lethal Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon.

The situation in Gaza is relative stable, with continued Israeli air and artillery strikes taking out groups of Hamas trying to reform. More and more Hamas attacks (mortar and rocket) being fired from within refugee tent encampments.
Situation against Hezbollah is still on a hair trigger as Hezbollah ponders whether to take the initiative from Iran and strike on its own or wait. Israel continues to decapitate leadership and hit key logistical and command sites throughout southern Lebanon to further degrade Hezbollah’s capabilities.
Israel maintains readiness and preparations to invade S Lebanon to deal with Hezbollah once and for all. That order is likely pending resolution of what ever joint retaliatory strike Hezbollah/Iran launch towards Israel and would serve a justification of a ground invasion.
Iran’s promised retaliation is still pending as they assess if it is worth the price of Israel’s retaliatory counterstrike (likely the elimination of their nuclear program and oil industry) to go forward. They are going to do something else they will lose a lot of face before other islamists in the region and world.

Iranian opposition channels report that Iranian intelligence has arrested Imad al-Din Khatami, the son of former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, on charges of spying for a foreign country.
Khatami was Iran’s fifth president from 1997-2005.
OBSERVATION - Still stinging from the successful Israeli attack, Iran continues to scrub the population for possible accomplices and others deemed harmful towards the regime.

Electricity was out in Lebanon late on Saturday after the last remaining power station closed down due to a shortage of fuel. “After exhausting all possible options to extend energy production, the last power station has been put out of use and electricity has been cut in the entire country,” the government said. The Beirut airport said it would remain operational with the help of generators as citizens are urged to preserve water.

Venezuela -
Opposition supporters have gathered across Venezuela to protest against Nicolas Maduro’s disputed victory in last month’s presidential election.
Opposition leader María Corina Machado joined thousands of protesters in the capital, Caracas, and urged them not to be afraid.
Ms Machado, who had been in hiding after being accused of insurrection, said there was nothing above the voice of the people, and that the people had spoken.
Police and the army were deployed in force as supporters of Mr Maduro also held a demonstration.
According to the Venezuelan government, more than 2,400 people have been detained since 29 July, the day the disputed election result was announced.
