Shortly after receiving the good news that he’ll be on the Colorado primary ballot, President Donald J. Trump received bad news from the state of Maine. Their fascist Secretary of State made the decision on her own to remove Trump from the primary ballot for the state.
According to the Boston Globe:
Maine’s Democratic secretary of state on Thursday removed former President Donald Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot under the Constitution’s insurrection clause, becoming the first election official to take action unilaterally in a decision that has potential Electoral College consequences.
While Maine has just four electoral votes, it’s one of two states to split them. Trump won one of Maine’s electors in 2020, so having him off the ballot there should he emerge as the Republican general election candidate could have outsized implications in a race that is expected to be narrowly decided.
The decision by Secretary of State Shenna Bellows follows a December ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court that booted Trump from the ballot there under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Colorado is a Democratic-leaning state that is not expected to be competitive for Republicans in November.
Let’s be perfectly clear about something that corporate media keeps bringing up. They say Trump wouldn’t win in Colorado anyway. They’re saying he might get 1 electoral vote in Maine. None of that matters. This is an attack on our Constitutional Republic regardless of whether a state leans red or blue. Voters should have the final say and taking away their protected right to vote for eligible candidates is disgraceful.
Trending: Trump Is BACK on the Ballot in Colorado
Shenna Bellows is a mediocre person and a stain on our nation. Everyone in Maine, Republican or Democrat, should be appalled. The entire country should be.
I always wondered what happened to her.......................
SCOTUS needs to rule on this 9-0 and squash these libtard leftist freaks.
Actually, this makes Trump’s case in the Supreme Court on the Colorado case stronger. It demonstrates the effect of ruling that states can arbitrarily keep candidates they don’t like off the ballot.
And when President Trump is re-elected, he needs to Strip All Federal Funds from every State that pulled this crap, wether they successful or not
+1. Amen.
I can remember when Maine was one of the most conservative of the New England states, and not that long ago. How far they’ve fallen.
Crazy eyes.
Bellows is the poster girl for crazed, left wing, fanatical women. It’s insane for her to think that she has the authority to be judge and jury and declare Trump guilty of insurrection. She takes TDS to a new level.
This just tells me that the idea of our Republic is finished. Our Constitution was declared to be Null And Void by the Communists on the day that President Trump was sworn into office. We have been told in no uncertain terms that our Votes no longer matter with the 2020 Election Theft. It is time for real Americans to face the facts. We are on our own.
Non-NBCs have brazenly been wangling their way onto primary and general election ballots for years without a single Secretary of State saying “boo” (assumed NBC unless they admit otherwise). So of course, this year Trump has to be bounced by SOSs and state supreme courts for failing to prove a negative.
If SCOTUS doesn't overturn, then yes it's all over.
She needs to spend a week in Gaza to find out what the world is really like. That’ll wipe the silly-a$$ smile off her face.
Trump needs to sue all of these Rogue states after he is elected President.
“SCOTUS needs to rule on this 9-0 and squash these libtard leftist freaks.”
You know SCOTUS is compromised. Remember the Obamacare gyrations. I would not be surprised if SCOTUS called this a state’s rights issue and left it stand.
Be prepared.
