Keith Ellison Donor: 'Israelis Have to be Bombed,' Only Understand 'Resistance'

The contribution from Taher Herzallah, AMP's associate director of outreach and grassroots organizing, came in March 2017 shortly after Ellison was named the Democratic National Committee's deputy chairman.
Herzallah is best known as one of the "Irvine 11," a group of students who were sentenced to three years probation for actions taken to disrupt a 2010 speech by then-Israeli ambassador Michael Oren. He more recently—just a few weeks before his contribution to Ellison—was arrested for disrupting confirmation hearings for U.S. ambassador to Israel David Friedman.
Herzallah has in recent years openly advocated for using violence to destroy Israel, saying in 2014 that "the State of Israel is a lie" and "Israelis have to be bombed."
"Israelis have to be bombed, they are a threat to the legitimacy of Palestine, and it is wrong to maintain the State of Israel," Herzallah said, according to the Anti-Defamation League. "It is an illegitimate creation born from colonialism and racism."
Herzallah backs up his calls for violence by arguing "the only language that the state of Israel understands is that of resistance."
Herzallah has also proposed establishing "an Islamic State" to "use violent means to resist occupation."
"What if as Muslims we wanted to establish an Islamic State? What if as Muslims we wanted to use violent means to resist occupation? Is that wrong?"
Herzallah argues there is no future for Palestinian people "as long as Zionism exists," and he doesn't "limit discourse on a future Palestine based on the 1967 lines."
Herzallah's radical comments are unsurprising given his role at AMP, a group founded by a man who in 2004 called for "an intifada" in the United States.
Herzallah's role at AMP is to run its campus group, Students for Justice in Palestine, the leading activist group for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign that aims to destroy Israel economically...

... The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) argues a similar point, stating: “AMP has its organizational roots in the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), an anti-Semitic group that served as the main propaganda arm for Hamas in the United States until it was dissolved in 2004. Since its creation in 2005, AMP continues to work closely with some former IAP leaders who currently hold positions as AMP board members.” Osama Abuirshaid, AMP’s executive director has previously expressed his admiration for Hamas for resisting and not negotiationg with Israel, and for avenging the “blood of its martyrs.” In 2021, Abuirshaid spoke alongside terrorist members of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), including Sami Khater, a senior Hamas Politburo leader and co-founder, and Mohammad Nazzal, Hamas’s official representative in Jordan. In addition, notes Max Samarov in the Forward, “AMP chairman Hatem Bazian … has repeatedly spread anti-Semitism on social media, while other AMP leaders and speakers have engaged in racism, homophobia, genocide denial, and praise for terrorist groups. One AMP employee listed as a contact in the handbook has said that Israel is, ‘an illegitimate creation,’ and that ‘Israelis have to be bombed.'” Since the October 7th attacks, AMP officials have led a forceful campaign to justify Palestinian “resistance.” Webinars organized by AMP and other Islamist groups (including Mercy Without Limits, profiled above), have featured Nihad Awad, head of the Islamist-founded Council on American-Islamic Relations, who denounced President Biden as a “Zionist” who spews “Israeli propaganda”; as well as references by Muslim American Society’s Ibrahim Zeini to Hamas terrorists as “resistance fighters” who are beginning to “shift” the Palestinian cause to “victory.” AMP’s Director of Outreach & Community Organizing, Taher Herzallah, has been particularly vociferous at these webinars. In one event, he referred to “Jews and Christian Zionists,” as “enemy number one,” although later conceded that anti-Zionist Jews can be partners.

Supporting Violence
On November 27-29, 2014, Herzallah appeared [00:41:55] in a Youtube video speaking at the seventh annual AMP conference.
In the video, Herzallah idolized [00:47:27] violent revolutionaries as models for change and rhetorically asked [00:49:06]: “What if, as Muslims we wanted to establish an Islamic state? Is that wrong? What if, as Muslims, we wanted to use violent means to resist occupation? Is that wrong?” ...

Great post and homepage, Milagros. Thanks.
This Herzallah fellow appears to be suffering from a lead deficiency. Hopefully, Mossad can help him with this.
“they are a threat to the legitimacy of Palestine”
The opposite is true. If there were no Israel, there never have been calls for the creation of a “Palestinian State”.
In addition, "American Muslims for Palestine" is an insulting contradiction in terms...
The only loyalty that moslems have is to a pedophile's mantra of death for all non-believers...
