One of the things that helped sink her was the recently released audio of her cussing out a staff member and mentioning another one who died shortly after. Autopsy has not been released.
She has been voted “worst person in congress to work for” repeatedly.

My understanding of the race is that Sheila’s Congressional District is very diverse, while that’s not the case for the entire City of Houston, which is only about 22% black, with boatloads of Hispanics, Asians, and even whites. Hence she had to run in a race with voters much less ‘friendly’ to her.
