The hezzies are also cowards. Only when and if the IDF is completely bogged down in Stalingrad-type house-to-house (which was the hammy game plan) will they go all in. Otherwise they will only keep up the harassment to keep some IDF strength in the north.

It’s because they haven’t paid a price that they keep attacking. Just like the 300 year indian wars of repeated and recurring belligerence against colonials and Americans. The belligerents can assimilate or be reduced to uninhabited, guarded reservations. Which, imo, is pretty much what Gaza was before they broke out and raided. That is also a long, well-known hallmark of the indian wars.
