Maybe now she’ll see how her citizens feel.
Pamela Price, the progressive prosecutor in Alameda County, California, got a look at crime, up close and personal, when her office laptop was stolen from an SUV after her bodyguard parked the vehicle Friday afternoon, according to KGO-TV in Oakland.
And police never showed up to take a report.
The incident took place during working hours when Price was at the Alameda County Family Justice Center about 3:30 p.m., KGO reporter Dan Noyes wrote in a social media post.
When she returned to the vehicle, she found a window broken and several items stolen, including the laptop.
Now, no decent human being wishes ill fortune to another, and being the victim of a vehicle burglary definitely comes under the heading of “ill fortune.”
But the Pamela Price case might lead to at least a justifiable feeling of schadenfreude.
According to a San Francisco Chronicle report from May 2018, Price first ran for D.A. as a civil rights attorney who had no experience prosecuting criminal defendants.
But what she did have was the financial backing of billionaire George Soros, a man who has devoted his huge fortune to leftist causes, such as undermining criminal justice in the United States by funding the campaigns of district attorneys who have precious little interest in actually enforcing the law.
Price lost in 2018, but ran again in 2022 and won on a platform of “aggressive steps to restore public trust in our criminal justice system, ensure public safety, end mass incarceration and root out racial, socioeconomic and gender disparities within Alameda County’s criminal justice system.”

The fact she left anything of value in her car in the first place is proof she’s dumb as rocks.
>And police never showed up to take a report.
Icing on the cake.
I’m sure it’s all stuff paid for by the county, including the SUV.
No sin off her nose.
This is really good news!
So the bodyguard parks the truck, she leaves the work LT in the truck and is supposed to be working in the building.
Why does she need a bodyguard ?
Why is the work LT left in the truck ?
What was she doing inside the building if the work LT is in the truck ?
This doesn’t add up.
Other than she wants to be recognized as a “victim”.
Another thing that uses up Oxygen that could be used for something useful.
I wish equal treatment on her. Shes not quite there yet.
Her Response: “I need to bring extra security with me.”
I do wish everyone who seeks to encourage crime are the sole beneficiaries of the negative results of that encouragement.
It’s wrong for innocents to be the target.
Unless she wanted the laptop stolen. Somebody wanted some real important case information perhaps.
“When she returned to the vehicle, she found a window broken and several items stolen, including the laptop... police never showed up to take a report.”
Miscellaneous office equipment: $3253.
Look on her face when she learns cops too busy to care: Priceless.
Ok, something stinky fish going on here at any rate.
This is old news, from before the weekend.
The arrogant incompetence demonstrated by the latest clusterfork, in the last two days, is even more delicious.
When she took office she suspended a bunch of deputy DAs on paid leave, pending the outcome of a witch-hunt investigation, some of whom quit to go work elsewhere, but some of whom remained, on paid leave. Between the cost of paying deputy DAs to do nothing and the cost of the outside investigative law firm, she’s blown $1.6 Million.
Meanwhile the ideological dolts she hired to replace those who were fired, driven out, or suspended, are running the office into the ground, and two more of the few remaining competent ones just resigned.
So now “Madame DA”, as she insists on being called, has been forced to bring three of the four suspended deputy DAs still on the payroll back, to bail her out, even though the witch-hunt investigations were never completed, and they continue to be under investigation.

NBC Bay Area’s Investigative Unit takes a closer look as some Alameda County deputy district attorneys were asked to come back to work while still under investigation.
