There are some other interpretations that indicate they were in Turkey because they were descendants of Jepheth who settled in Europe vs Seth who settled in Asia.
I’ve seen the other theories that Magog is potentially Russia, Assyria/Babylon/Iran, Scythians, or even Mongolia/China - Beyond the Gates of Alexander; but most of those don’t tie anything back to Jepheth which I found to be a gap given Magog is noted to be Jepheth’s son in Genesis 10.

I think you mean Shem, not Seth, because all of Noah’s sons descend from Seth. But there are plenty of descendants of Japheth who live in Asia. In fact, all modern Europeans originated in Asia, hence why we are called “Caucasians” (after a mountain range in Asia), and we speak “Indo-Aryan” languages (named after India and Iran, two countries in Asia).
