Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“genocide” Is an emotional term used to make folks feel a certain way.

There is no more genocide by the ethnic Russians in Ukraine, than their is by the nationalist Ukrainians, than there is by Western and Russian influences. Genocide is about as real as when we use the term “terrorist.” It’s a cliche.

If peace and “sovereignty” (another slogan used to rationalize this war), had ever been the goal, then the US would have abided by the Minsk agreement which would have rid Ukraine of outside influences that were pouring fuel on what is essentially a civil war.

Ukraine is at its core a civil war but it’s also a nation which was valuable. Outsiders couldn’t help but stick their nose in this conflict because everyone wanted a piece of that pie.

Try making an argument that avoids any use of emotional terms like: genocide, terrorist, sovereignty, democracy, and human rights. Slogans that are really meaningless since by our own definition we also sponsor terrorists (to include the Islamic type), we also violate human rights, we also support despot leaders and authoritarian single party states... These are just words we throw around when convenient but we don’t really care much about them when it comes to trade and our business dealings with communist China, Saudi Arabia, and the King or Jordan. We don’t really use these terms when we kidnap, torture or assassinate folks (enhanced interrogations, extraterritorial rendition... Google what those are). What did we do when a US resident and journalist got tortured to death at the order of the prince of Saudi Arabia and an allied NATO country? Nothing (Google Kashoggi) Our leaders don’t use these terms when we bomb some country, invade them (even under false pretenses as with Iraq)... A cliche/slogan is not an argument.

I was telling you how it would end (and it will end that way), but I did not tell you it was over.

But now it soon will be. America has a new focus, the Middle East. The poll numbers for support of Ukraine are dropping: https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/04/politics/cnn-poll-ukraine/index.html and that is from a very pro-Democrat war cheerleader (CNN). We are heading into elections 2024 and no one will want to be holding this hot potato.

***National politics drive US foreign policies.***

Even if no deal is made, the war will simply fizzle out since Russia met their objectives and Ukraine does not have the resources to continue without our infusions of money and weapons.

The simple questions to ask yourself:

(1) Is Ukraine better off today than before the war (wealth, security, land size, population, stability, infrastructure, currency, debt, deaths, injured, EU or NATO membership), was it worth it for Ukraine? Other than trying to rationalize this with make belief casualties for the Russians and how beautiful our wonder weapons look, what can you point at where (((Ukraine))) actually benefited?

(2) How did the Average American benefit from this war in terms of their wealth (loss), freedoms (neutral) or security (loss)?

If Ukraine lost, if the average American Joe lost, it is very easy for me to say that this war was a colossal failure, unless of course it was never really the end state but merely a chess move (shaping operation), where we are attempting to weaken the Russian position on the world stage, which is also a possibility. But that still did not benefit Ukraine nor the average Joe. Blackrock made out, so does Lockheed, Boeing, Raytheon, Northrup... But Ukraine is a net looser and I don’t see those billions either. In fact, I just get to pay more in the form of inflation as my government funnels billions to these financial firms and defense contractors who are making out irrespective of the outcome in Ukraine. So I guess there are some winners here and it just depends where you stand.

“”””(1) Is Ukraine better off today than before the war””””

It exists, what kind of question is that? Countries don’t get better off while they are in the midst of fighting off an invader, the correct question is whether after 20 months of resisting do they still remain free and a nation, and they do.

The number 2 question should be does this help NATO/America for the future, a reduced Russia does, and a stronger more united/purposeful/aware NATO that is not depending on Russia for energy does, these changes since the invasion also help us in a fight against China, and it has also helped us in the Pacific.

This Russian invasion and the results from the combat was a wake-up call to us and our world allies.
