I said it before and I’ll say it again, Gaetz didn’t vote with the Democrats. The Democrats voted with Gaetz.I thought the media celebrated bipartisanship when the GOP joined the Dems in voting, why all the pearl clutching.

A distinction without a difference.

Gaetz voted for 45-day funding extensions, two-year funding, CR’s, earmarks and the like in 2017-2018, and I’m checking to see if he also did in 2019-2020.
He claims he’s a fiscal conservative, but his previous actions prove otherwise.

On the contrary. Their position was principled. They didn’t change their position to vote with the Democrats.

"When acting speaker Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) took the chair, he banged the gavel down with petulant force, signaling a distaste for the whole affair that he never manifested as millions of unvetted migrants entered the country, or as the national debt and inflation skyrocketed, or as the Biden regime weaponized the “justice” system to persecute its political enemies. McHenry made it clear: what angered him was not any of that, but the removal of his friend McCarthy." The following short youtube clip shows that angry, petulant gavel banging, followed by a very short interview with a RINO, Rep. Mike Lawler, where he said he shares McHenry's anger, and makes it clear that most of their anger is directed mainly toward one person -- Matt Gaetz. He further said in this clip that if he had the gavel, he would have aimed it so it would violently strike Gaetz right between his eyes.
I think the most interesting thing about this youtube clip is the comments on youtube under the clip, where it appears that the vast majority completely disagreed with the RINO, and essentially told him that the voters want them to tell the truth, and keep their promises, (unlike McCarthy, who told lie after lie, and kept no promises he made).
Here's the link for that short clip:

(Remember when Biden said “we have developed the most sophisticated voting fraud system ever”? )

I am no neocon. I am firmly in the camp of the "Real Politik" Conservatives. We believe that providing money, weapons, and (sometimes) soldiers may be necessary to accomplish certain goals in foreign lands that are in America's interests.
Neocons are convinced that the American way of life must be spread to both friendly and non-friendly countries and therefore are much quicker to pledge American lives to causes that are not important to the enrichment and security of America.
You seem to only see black and white, but there is nuance in geopolitics. I hope I have enlightened you as to how I see the world.
