In most cases, unless the President deems the necessity, you don’t get SS protection until after the convention.
Lets admit it....if this were a big deal...with seven Republicans in the running, you’d have to have at least fifty SS folks protecting them.
Based on the way that state primaries are being arranged....I just don’t see RFK winning more than five or six (max). I’d say 20-percent of Democrats aren’t even aware that he’s running.
