Basically, a couple of Japanese researchers from two different Universities doing sequence studies on a bunch of Omicron variants, who show that there are almost NO synonymous mutations between them ("synonymous" means, "a substitution of a nucleotide, which retains the corresponding amino acid called for by the codon which has the substituted nucleotide in it") -- and that spells, "no known natural process for them to have evolved from one another" --> implies (but not politically expedient to say) "all lab generated."
