Remember 'Best of Times"? Who would've thought back then that this melody would hold so much meaning for today?

Great song. Great band.
“Rockin’ The Paradise” opens with the same melody.
Even more awsome is the impact it still has on young people. This vid is super awesome collosal!
I prefer Billy Joel’s “The Angry Young Man”
I never cared for their pop hits much, but ther live covers are incredible- excellent musicianship. How many rock bands can cover the. Hallelujah Chorus?
Wonderful! Thanks.
Styx, before they were famous, used to play at my Chicago area high school’s dances.
Loved them ever since.
We must be of the same vintage. I remember hearing about them playing in Downers Grove once (I lived for a while in Naperville).
Styx and Journey. 2 all time greats!!!
I’ve always liked Tommy Shaw. Styx was tough, The Grand Illusion blew me away.
Thank you so much for this. I had all of STYX’ albums and I went to their concert. Tommy Shaw’s bangs and hair was so sexy. :D :P
Saw them in high school decades ago and last summer in DC. They were tight. Shaw’s voice is still incredible. I was pissed that they made us suffer through their new album, but when that shit was finished they started rocking. Blue Collar Man was awesome. Shaw chucked his guitar pick after the tune and it hit me and landed at my feet. Never had that happen at any concert before. Pretty cool. Some of the DeYoung stuff was more glam than rock, but I still liked them. The Grand Illusion is great but my favorite came after that - Pieces of Eight.

Ha! This NW IL country boy trucked all around the ‘Windy’ off and on, and even into Downers Grove, and thinking “what a name for a town”, lol.
I often thought of how dealing with big city traffic was a real downer. Couldn’t WAIT to get out of Chicagoland. Where I lived during those years we had about 11 people in a 1 mile radius of my house (all the farm kids had grown up and moved, many out of the state). Peace and quiet!
But those costumes...
Love Styx. I wish they played “Snow blind” on my XM radio. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it played on there.
Awful, awful band. Worse than Journey. Incredibly bad. Bad, bad, bad. Awful...repeat, rinse and repeat.
Yep, there is... The one Freeper who sees “STYX” in the post headline link, then thinks to himself “I hate Styx. I’d better go out of my way and click on this and make sure everyone knows this fact about me!”
