• They protested him (Trump).

  Failed.

• They called him names (and spread lies about him--Russia, Russia, Russia).

  He won anyway.

• They impeached him twice on ridiculous pretenses...then they fabricated a January 6 crime in order to impeach him again.

  Didn't work (he just got stronger).

• They indicted him (he became more popular)...so they indicted him 3 more times.

  His popularity kept rising.

No one has a crystal ball, but if you're going by the law of averages then court proceedings follow indictments more frequently than assassinations.
