A lot of those attorneys are also going through the local Bar associations to have their licenses suspended. Most of the Bar associations are controlled by Democrats or liberals or both.<p.

I’ve been saying that since the J6 committee was formed. It was that obvious.
Robert Barnes has been through this at length.
The shortest answer is “tried and failed” in 2022 with MTG and Madison Cawthorne. Why? Because “insurrection” clause of the 14th Amendment were ruled by courts to be drafted ONLY with the Civil War in mind and did not apply to modern elections. Second, the wording of the Amendment is clear: in the LONG list of people to whom the “insurrection” clause included, the PRESIDENT IS NOT AMONG THEM. Why? Because the process for keeping a president off a ballot is clearly in the Constitution’s requirements for being eligible, and “insurrection” isn’t one. It’s age, citizenship, and to remove is only impeachment/conviction.
Section 5, the closing of the 14th Amendment:
“The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”
Oh.
Congress, not Scotus, not the states were to enforce the 14th.
IMHO, one day in the near future, yet in 2023, when the 2020 Presidential election is declared rigged, corrupt and null & void, Donald John Trump will be reinstated and the 2024 election for POTUS will be cancelled.
Tour point is a good one though because SCUTUS could ask: which federal law was enacted under the 14th to enforce Taft statement.
But, and it has been said before: what the left really want to do is create confusion and keep Trump off the ballot
I’m sure DeSantis will deliver devastating, dismantling punishment to the Deep State. It’s almost too late now.
