Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

StormShadow and Scalp are pretty much the same weapon, except for the British or French names. Taurus has about twice the range (around 300 miles).

(Ukraine) “a nation that is being utterly - and pointlessly - wrecked.“

Nobody likes the people who do that to you. In fact, it generates deep hatred - and it has among Ukrainians, toward Russians.

Russians in general have suffered from a greatly reduced regard by most of the World, as a result of the atrocious behavior of Russian forces in the Ukraine - but among Ukrainians, the animosity is likely to persist for generations.

Putin did that.

I think you're right. Ukraine and Russia have been going at it for at least 100 years. When Chernobyl happened things really ramped up between the two shitholes and their endless beefs with each other continue to this day. Let 'em have at it without outside interference or the expenditure of US taxpayers' hard earned cash. 'Eff both countries. I don't care how they treat each other.

Speaking of border wars, how's that US Southern border doing these days?. . .

I appreciate your stance, but it is not a zero sum situation. As many have tried to say, securing the border, taking care of veterans(I am one with almost 40 years), and helping defeat Russian aggression can all be done at the same time
The fact that they are not has nothing to do with aid to Ukraine ,

Letting Russia take Ukraine because of corruption in Ukraine and for that matter everywhere is not something I support, I get your reasons and obvious emotion.

The border was unsecure before the invasion, veterans were suffering, xiden was corrupt before the invasion, “color” revolutions were not limited to Ukraine or only instigated by US as evident by past Russian interference in Ukraine, US, Belarus, Moldavia and scores of other places, China is active as well.

One can go after the corruption of soros, nuland, deepstate uniparty,NWO….. and still support Ukraine, if zalinsky is as corrupt as you say then deal with him as well, but letting Putin get away with this invasion doesn’t solve any of your other complaints( money laundering and corruption are key institutional tenants of the current Russian govt apparatus)

My 2 cents

Since the Russian Central Bank imposed a huge emergency interest rate hike (from 8.5% to 12%) to stabilize an acceleration in the fall of the Russian ruble over a week ago, their Central Bank has been regularly intervening in the market (buying rubles with their foreign currency reserves) to try to keep the ruble from dropping further.

They got it from 102 to the dollar back down to 93 after the interest hike (combined with other policy measures, including some additional capital controls) and then held it for a few days and hectic nights at a 94.5 level, showing an oscillating pattern of having to shovel more foreign reserves in about every half hour. They fell back to around 95 for about a solid day of flat line, where they were likely nearly constantly bleeding foreign reserves, but last night the exchange rate crept beyond that flat line.

Although the ruble is not in free fall now, it does seem to be resuming a gradual decline, even just shortly after rather extreme measures were taken, that will themselves significantly drag on the Russian economy.

They seem to have bought just a little more time at high cost, while actually worsening some of the underlying fundamentals that are weakening the ruble (economic declines and gradual depletion of foreign reserve accounts).

The outlook for the ruble is fundamentally unchanged - the death watch continues for 200 to the dollar. It is likely just a matter of when, rather than if, as long as the war (and sanctions) continue.

Unlike rabid Youkazoids or RuZZZiiia lovers, I loathe both countries. I don't care what happens to either of them. It is irrefutable fact that both of them are hyper-corrupt crapholes not worth pissing one's treasure and/blood away on. Not one more cent of US taxpayer money for either of them.

Why are you so invested in Youcrayne winning and Russia losing?

Why are you, and several other Youcrainiacs on FR, so deeply in love with the most corrupt nation in Europe?

I say let the two rat holes sort it out between themselves. Neither sinkhole poses a serious threat to the US. Let the useless, commie EU deal with the mess if it must.

“how’s that US Southern border doing these days?”

It is basically a redux of the Obama Administration, where they are actively working to hobble border enforcement and increase illegal immigration flows, however they think they can get away with it.

Again, Bozo, I don't care who wins or loses, as long as the globalist/leftist/neocon filth who helped provoke this latest chapter of Russia vs Ukraine hatred and warring go down in flames.

Enough of their murderous machinations around the world. I want to see them hauled off to Gitmo.

Why do you and the rest of FR Team Youke have such a deep, desperate love affair with Youcrayne, a child trafficking mecca, a money laundering center for "elites," including the vile Biden, Romney, Kerry and Pelosi clans and inarguably the most corrupt nation in Europe?

“Why are you so invested in Youcrayne winning and Russia losing?”

To contain and defeat the Russian threat - to our interests, our Allies, the International rule of law, and basic morality.

Why should we care if Hitler wants to incinerate German Jewish children, or Putin wants to wipe out Ukrainian freedom and identity, steal their stuff, and brutally oppress them with FSB torture chambers and Stalinesque purges?

Because it is intolerably wrong.

Not on my watch. I am not going to stand by passively while the mafia gangsters who have hijacked the Russian government go on a rampaging crime spree across the world.

Death to tyrants!

Send more Artillery!

Additionally and sorry to get in the weeds, but the 100 billion or whatever number people come up with is not cold hard cash.

A majority of the weapon systems given to Ukraine are surplus or expiring items scheduled for decommissioning and disposal, and replacement with new systems.

What is the “cost” in sending m113s to Ukraine and if we didn’t how would that be converted to cash to help veterans as you state. Give each vet a m113, styler or Bradley?

Not meaning to be flippant or to denigrate your desires to help veterans, but again it is not a zero sum game, giving these items to Ukraine to help defend themselves does not remove resources to help them.

That is a political choice with funding

... attack of a few of these on the Kerch Bridge ...

Taurus missiles have a program designed specifically to takeout large bridges - I saw a graphic to that effect some time back.

...those Taurus Missiles might be more help to the Ukies than the F-16’s...

The Taurus missiles will only help more because they should arrive sooner than the F-16s.

The F-16s, when they arrive, will carry much more than cruise missiles. They will deliver much more ordnance at a much lower cost.

JDAM-ERs, SDBs, HARMs, Aim-120s, Aim-9s, and possibly JASSM-XRs.

The biggest advantage of the F-16s is they can change targets while airborne if a higher priority target becomes available.

Perhaps tho’, the F-16’s will be useful in protecting the planes launching the Taurus?

The cruise missiles are launched far from the threat. Russia has nothing that can shoot down the launch aircraft.

Perhaps, but same was said in 1940 and earlier with “peace in our time” piece of paper

We will disagree, and that is fine with me.
Take care

Have you been following the news? How long did Prigozhin live after making a deal with President of Russia? The mass murdering filth of Russia is obvious for all to see. Ignore it if you wish.

Then of course, you're for US military involvement in N Korea, China, most of Africa, Cuba, much of South America, much of the Middle East and pretty much everywhere else in the world where people do each other wrong. Ah, the old "New American Century" neocon bullcrap that brings little more than pain and suffering wherever in the world (including Ukraine) it seeks to establish "democracy." Ugh.

Fact: Unlike Nazi Germany, Russia is a beat up, busted up craphole that hasn't been able to defeat the even more busted up craphole of Ukraine after a two year battle against it.

I am far more worried about the tyranny and disgusting agendas being imposed on good people, internally and around the world, by the US government. Your fantasy of Russia conquering the world is just that, a complete fantasy, spawned in the nostalgic minds of geriatric, irrelevant "Cold Warriors." It bears no resemblance to the Nazi's march through Europe.

I don’t care. Let Russians deal with it on their own terms. Are you concerned that Christians are being slaughtered like pigs in Nigeria? Why your torrid love affair with Youcrayne, the most corrupt nation in Europe?

“Russia is a beat up, busted up craphole that hasn’t been able to defeat the even more busted up craphole of Ukraine after a two year battle”

Precisely because we supported Ukraine. Otherwise they would have captured Ukraine, and drafter the Ukrainian boys as cannon fodder for their next conquest, like the did with the LDR and DPR, and like their Mongol forebears did with them.
