Not so.
You are saying that a candidate cannot be both a woman and have all the other qualities Trump is looking for. That of course is not true.
Balancing a ticket is what every presidential candidate tries to do. Trump, like everyone before him, will line up the potential VEEP candidates and pick the one who best provides the qualities he's looking for. And that's a matter of balancing all those qualities.
My favorite comment by Ram was about hugging Obama, which he was referring to the gold carpet treatment Christie gave to Obama. Barack visited New Jersey after the hurricane and right before the election and Christie almost Kissed him on the lips in his brown nosing efforts.
You are saying that he should choose based on gender. I say that is abandoning morality. You choose based on merit and if people are equally qualified you can consider other factors.
In general I do not accept that a woman would be a prudent choice but there are exceptions like Maggie Thatcher. Most of the other world leaders have been dross or frankly incompetent. Choosing a woman per se is pandering to the worst of woke ideology.
The Democrats can’t let Elder expose Newsom, Gavin is all they have that is who the Democrats really fear not Trump or RFK.
I agree, that’ll solidify the woman vote more than a man would. Noem would be my choice even with her caving on the men in womens sports issue in her state.
I missed nothing. I did not sum up, I posted Naomi Wolf’s words to show that even a diehard liberal is forced to admit the common perception is false and the words spun by MSM.
By the way I agree with you fully. Two guys with locker room talk agreeing that they have lost respect for a woman of their acquaintance who acts in the way described and that they find it unattractive.
No harm no foul, just blunt honesty not meant for a general audience so no need to cloak the sentiment not to offend.
Patton slapped private in front of the media. He recovered.
“Could be a good vp choice. I’m hoping Trump chooses someone outside of the political mainstream. The debates are bluster. All political hopefuls spew words we want to hear but ultimately tow the uni-party lines every time.”
Do you really think Vivek, as Trump’s VP choice, would go over with all those Christian evangelicals that have backed Trump no matter what? That would be extreme delusional thinking, if so.
No I am not.
Once again you are using an "either-or" fallacy to paint a glowing picture of yourself as "moral."
I am saying that historically Trump has had a weakness of support among women and he needs to strongly consider that weakness when choosing a VEEP.
Sheesh, get off your soapbox.
I'm done here. It's too early to play with a contentious person who distorts your position.
There was a debate?????
I’m sorry you feel that way. We are both arguing from strong personal beliefs. I am not being contentious no more than you are. When people of good faith disagree after airing the difference it is best to agree to disagree. I wish you well.
“Choosing a woman per se is pandering to the worst of woke ideology.”
What would choosing the only black candidate be pandering to?
Thank you. Sorry, I crabbed at you. You have a great day also.
If chosen for melanin, as I posted above, it’s the same thing. Being black or being a woman are, if you will excuse me, very minor parts of who a person is and of their qualifications. The unconscionable thing is to go searching for a candidate on the basis or gender or skin color.
BTTT
It would not alienate the evangelical Christians enough that they’d vote for a d candidate. Some may sway to one of the other rhino candidates but I believe it wouldn’t be enough that a d candidate wins. We cannot win with a far right team. The DeSantis supporters are all never trumpers, the others realize DeSantis would be more of the same DC bullcrap we’ve been dealing with for decades.
They should all suspend their campaigns in protest to the North Korean judicial tactics.
I have no bone to pick with your assessment. She is an impressive candidate and deserves a close vetting among any other people Trump may have in mind.
