Vivek Ramaswamy's '10 Truths' Hit the Conservative Bullseye
Red State ^ | 08/18/2023 | Mike Miller

Posted on 08/18/2023 6:06:15 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Vivek Ramaswamy, the previously little-known 38-year-old multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur who has risen from relative political obscurity to the upper echelons of conservatism and the 2024 race for the Republican presidential nomination, on Thursday revealed his "10 truths" on social media.

The 10 Conservative Commandments? They should be; unshakably so.

As has proven to be his style, Ramaswamy wasn't afraid to wade into the hot-button issues of the radical left, right off the bat, beginning with "God is real," and "There are two genders."

  1. God is real.
  2. There are only two genders.
  3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
  4. Reverse racism is racism.
  5. An open border is no border.
  6. Parents determine the education of their children.
  7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
  8. Capitalism lifts people from poverty.
  9. There are three branches of government, not four.
  10. The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.

It occurred to me as I typed the above list that Vivek's "10 truths" constitute the foundational beginning of America, and devoid of any one of them, this country would not have become what it became — a country that the Democrat Party continues to try to destroy as we know it — insidiously so, and never-ending.

TRUTH.

1. God is real.
2. There are two genders.
3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
4. Reverse racism is racism.
5. An open border is no border.
6. Parents determine the education of their children.
7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.

8. Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.

9. There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.

10. The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.

During a recent event at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, California, Ramaswamy shared several details of his upbringing and his concern that the American Dream may not exist for further generations. Incidentally, Vivek was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.

My parents came to this country 40 years ago with no money. In a single generation, I have gone on to found multi-billion dollar companies and did it while marrying my wife, Apoorva, and raising our two sons. That is the American dream, and I am deeply worried that that American dream will not exist for my two sons and their generation.

Ramaswamy's revelations reveal not only hope for all Americans with a dream who are willing to work to achieve their dreams — but also a feeling of despair, given the efforts of the far-left to fundamentally change this country into a wealth-redistributing juggernaut the likes of which the world has never seen.

I'm reminded of a line from the lyrics of  "I'd Love to Change the World" by the classic 70s rock band, Ten Years After:

Tax the rich, feed the poor, til there are no rich no more.

The entire Democrat Party was seen vigorously nodding in approval. That is, except for taxing themselves. You know, the Democrat "Rules for thee, but not for me" thing.

Ramaswamy also shared his vision for keeping America strong on a recent Fox News appearance. One of the things that continue to impress me about this guy is his resolve. Politicians make promises, some of which they keep, some of which they have no intention of keeping. (See: "Joe Biden," "Democrat Party.")

In my not-so-humble opinion, Vivek Ramaswamy is the real deal.

No I don’t. Therefore I am not diverting. Why don’t you tell me?

RE: I don’t think I’ve ever seen a politician that is.

What criteria must a politician meet in your view in order to qualify as Conservative Patriot?

Another classic leftist response, you’re racist if you don’t agree with us...What part of Americans against importation of white collar labor don’t you get. Seems your buddy here doesn’t want to touch that one though, wonder why. Doesn’t fit the agenda, right. Leftist tools, spit.

By that criteria you just mentioned, you’re a leftist as well. You call someone a leftist operative just because he doesn’t agree with you about a Presidential candidate.

RE: .What part of Americans against importation of white collar labor don’t you get.

Let me ask you this, when did importation of white collar labor stop under Trump? By this criteria, you might as well not vote for anyone.

Thanks for showing me how you can deceive yourself into finding imaginary people to out.

RE: I’m done with you

Are you? You wrote that before but here you still are. Says a lot about your credibility.

Can you really say Ramaswamy is a conservative patriot with a straight face?! Gullible is an understatement. I have some beachfront property in Arizona that I can sell you.

If Vivek Ramaswamy's name were actually Blake Carrington IV, if he were a United Methodist, if his ancestors had arrived on the Mayflower, and if he had the exact same background and espoused the exact same platform, you would have no problem with him and would not be attacking his supporters.

If he wins the White House, Ramaswamy promises to

If this isn't a conservative patriotic platform in the tradition of Trump, Reagan and Coolidge, I don't know what is.

A Hindu telling you God is real is meaningless.

Why is that?

Yes, and he continued his rants against Trump after he had secured the nomination, in effect, shilling for Hillary.

I was done with him then.

but then he ups and says China can have Taiwan.

I listened to that interview. What he said was that the US didn’t have the will to sacrifice 600,000 American lives in defense of Taiwan in event of an all out invasion. That the trick was to support Taiwan to a point where China would find it way too expensive to consider invading.

Hugh then mentioned that he had “sources” who told him we have stealth technology on subs that would allow us to sink Chinese ships undetected. He asked Vivek whether he thought we should use that technology in the even China ramps up and threatens Taiwan. His answer was a direct “Yes”. I was actually surprised to hear a politician simply answer a question with a direct “yes” (or “no”).

In context, I wouldn’t call that letting them “have” Taiwan. I do agree that he did say he wasn’t going to sacrifice thousands of US Forces directly repelling invasion. We can agree or disagree with that. But that’s how I heard it in full context.

Sorry, Vivek, but for some inexplicable reason you have left out Number 11: All presidential candidates must be Art. II, §1, cl. 5 natural-born citizens.

Being born in the United States isn’t enough. Since the president, being an elected position, is also the commander-in-chief of the nation’s armed forces, John Jay, the person most responsible for adding the new legal term of art “natural born citizen” to the Constitution, thought it advisable to ensure the president is born solely within the jurisdiction. That is to say, born of U.S. citizen parents. Many MAGA supporters are wondering why you don’t.

Snake oil salesmen say what people want to hear.

People said that about Trump when he ran in 2016
