JUST IN: Vivek Ramaswamy strongly defends Donald Trump after the former president was indicted by the Biden Department of ā€˜Justice.’

Vivek specifically blamed censorship for the J6 attack, including how the FBI and Big Tech colluded to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story.

ā€œIt would be easier for me if Donald Trump were eliminated from competition. That's not how I wanna win. This is not about politics. To me, this is about first principles. We do not want to become a country where the party in power is able to use Banana Republic like tactics to eliminate its political opponents.ā€

Do you see it expressed specifically in the Constitution?

“Better let the founders know that…”

The ones who said no religious requirement?

So do you choose atheist Japan or Christian Venezuela?

Exactly, people still say “neocons are better than Democrats” and then cry afterwards when they still push in the same direction.

I referred to the Founders, not the Constitution. Thanks.

I think Visy will say anything, but not really mean it.

He has a pretty decent history on YouTube that you can go back and get a feel for his consistency. I like him for the most part, but he needs to have some significant revelations for me ever to a true supporter. Most of the crap thrown at him on FR doesn’t stick and certainly doesn’t bother me. People are not doing real research on him. Look for a video where Ramaswamy interviews William Barr about three months ago. He’s not ready for primetime.

Unfortunately, we are faced with the lesser of evils when it comes to Republican candidates. Ramaswamy is in second place behind Trump with me, but could quickly be replaced by someone else not currently running. I’m recently done with DeSantis. He’s taking campaign contributions from Sequoia Capital. Check out their links with the CCP. As for the rest of the primary contestants, I have zero interest.

PS - I didn’t refer to the Constitution, but you asked, so I should add this.

Article VII, the Attestation Clause:

ā€œDone in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth In Witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names...ā€

…….

ā€œSome try to dismiss the Attestation Clause as a meaningless formality. But just as a last will and testament is invalid without the attestation, so the Attestation Clause and the signatures which follow give the Constitution its legal validity. And the clause is important for two other reasons:

(1) Unlike the leaders of the French Revolution who repudiated Christianity and the Gregorian calendar and established a new calendar that began with their Revolution, the Framers of our Constitution had no hesitation about recognizing the birth of Jesus Christ as the central event of human history. Significantly, England had adopted the Gregorian calendar only a quarter of century earlier.

(2) By their reference to the twelfth year of independence, the Framers incorporated by reference the Declaration of Independence and its ideals: Government based on the laws of nature and of nature’s God, equality based on our having been created by God, unalienable God-given rights, and government by the consent of the governed. The Declaration and the Constitution must be read together to grasp their meaning. The Declaration established the nation; the Constitution established the government. The Declaration set forth the nation’s ideals or founding principles; the Constitution provided a practical mechanism by which those ideals can be realized and preserved in a society of imperfect people.ā€

(Saved from somewhere on the internet)

Let me put it to y’all this way. Unless there is a another civil war this nation is DONE! But while we sit on our butts and think voting is the only way out. You guys are nuts. The fix is in. Have you seen Joe Biden so relaxed in the beach? He’s telegraphing to everybody. I have no care in the world and I know I’m going to be reelected. I’ve got the DOI, the FBI, the CIA all the judges all the corrupt jury people you name it they’re in my pocket …I have nothing to fear, but look forward to getting reelected . The fix is in people get it through your heads. The only thing that will cure America from what ails it is unfortunately another Civil War. But this time it’s about fighting and defending the constitution our rights to be free people and a future for our children. Nothing less will do. We are too damn divided. And elections are so easily manipulated and stolen. They will see to it in 2024. Count on it.

Appears this administration is asking, no thinking isn’t the word, begging is the word, for a response from the citizens. No why would they do that. I guarantee the have an entire stack of EO ready to stomp on the throats of the citizens. The list has been made, updated, and is ready. The FedGov via EO wants to put its stomping boots on. You damn well know most governors will cave and allow its police and national guard to stomp away.

Btw has Ron Desaints stated that his state will not cooperate with this and will refuse the Feds to operate in his state for this abomination? No? I guess we know where he and his financial interests are at. The dangled it in front of him and Ron lost that edge and failed this test. We will see. This shit will get out of hand quick.

Article VII - Attestation Clause

In law an attestation clause is where “a document has been executed in the presence of one or more witnesses (who attest the execution)” and that’s what they did!

You’re doing a William O. Douglas “penumbra” reading of Constitution text. Torturing the plain text to make it say what you want!

As long as the individual governed as a strict constructionist of the Constitution his\her personal private religious views are irrelevant. If he\she actually did govern as a strict constructionist how would I even know his\her religious beliefs.

“Vivek sets himself up for the VP position”

That’s what I thought. If Trump would not bash the guy in the primaries. We would have a two great candidates.

I posted the text, and context, so I must disagree with your view of the constitution.

However, the constitution prohibits a religious test to hold political office.

That is a very different issue than the right of every voter to cast his vote based on whatever criteria is most important to him.

That I will do, as will every voter.

I bet Vivek is gambling on Trump somehow being taken out from running, and thinking he will replace Trump. No chance I’d trust him or vote for him.

At my age it’s easy. I will let the younger ones study and I can be Samuel Whittemore. Sounds like a good retirement to me.
