This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. I said many months ago, the peace treaty will be for RuZZia to keep Crimea and Ukraine gets all the rest of its territory.
The view wasn’t popular amongst some of my friends here on FR. But it is what I think will happen.
Could be wrong. Time will tell.
I have suggested the same. Ukraine would have to have meaningful security guarantees from the west, or Russia would just use the “treaty” to rearm for another war. I don’t think Russia is willing to give up on territory taken in 2014, but they could negotiate neutrality and disarmament of the LPR/DPR/CRIMEA.
LPR/DPR must go back to Ukraine.
That is non negotiable.
Crimea can be bargained.
Again, just my opinion.
If the West forces Ukraine to the peace/bargaining table without any prospect of regaining all of Ukraine and all of Crimea, the people of Ukraine will see that as one more betrayal like the Kurds, like the Afghanis. And they will hate the US implacability.
