This guy is so right. Mr. RightField was a black high school social studies teacher who, in his later years of teaching, was constantly running afoul of the administration's policies on American History. He retired in 2005 at his first opportunity because he didn't want the stress any more.

Mr. RightField's great grandfather was born a slave in 1842, the product of the plantation owner and an unknown slave woman. He fought with the Colored Troops in the Civil War, returned to his home and married a woman from a neighboring plantation. They had 12 children, and raised them in a 2 room house with no running water or electricity. EVERY ONE of those 12 children went on to become college graduates. They were entrepreneuers, teachers, business owners, etc. Their descendants include state legislators, a professional ball player, a doctor or two, etc. Sadly, many of the 4th and 5th generations have bought into the victim mentality. Great Grandad would not be amused.
